*The Gospel Daily - Without Doubt*

*Today's Verse:*
*And they told him, “We came to the land to which you sent us; it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Yet the people who live in the land are strong, and the towns are fortified and very large; and besides, we saw the descendants of the Anak there.” - Numbers 13:27-28*

Have you ever received a clear sign from the Lord but disobeyed after hearing negative advice from others? This passage portrays that. Israel sent spies in advance to scout and explore the promised land. Canaan flowed with milk and honey. Ten of the twelve spies gave a negative prognosis after seeing giants which made them look like grasshoppers (verse 33). They concluded; “We are not able to go against this people, for they are stronger” (verse 31). Two of the spies, Caleb and Joshua, had different spirits and followed God wholeheartedly (Numbers 14:24). They encouraged; “Let us go up for we are able to overcome it. Do not fear for they are no more than bread for us, their protection is removed and the Lord is with us.” Tragically, the bad report instilled fear and spread among the Israelites. Similarly, there’ll be times we are certain God wills for us to proceed, perhaps a job, trip or business venture. Have the faith and discernment to go on and obey despite doubts. Just trust and follow God wholeheartedly, and you’ll never be overtaken by fear. - Commentary by: Mark Natividad

*Today's Prayer:*
*Heavenly Father, forgive us for not trusting in you. Lord, give us faith so we will not be deceived and believe the lies of the enemy. Father, we put our trust in You. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.🙏*

*The Gospel Daily - Being In Need*

*Today's Verse:*
*“I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.” - Philippians 4:12*

Financial stress is one of the heaviest burdens we carry in life. No matter how disciplined we are with our money, unexpected expenses can appear at any moment leaving us overwhelmed and desperate. In those times, I find myself crying out, "Father, I need You. I don't know how much more I can handle." We do what we can. We explore every option loans, borrowing, cash advances hoping to stay afloat. We wish we could avoid debt entirely, but real life rarely works that cleanly. And yet, God is not absent in our financial struggles. He is present, and He has a purpose in them. More than rescuing us from hardship, God uses these moments to shape us. When our resources run dry, we are drawn closer to Him — learning to trust His provision rather than our own planning. In our weakness, He builds our faith. In our need, He cultivates humility, patience, and wisdom that we simply could not develop in times of plenty. Hard times will come again that much is certain. But every season of struggle prepares us for the next one. And when it arrives, we will not face it in fear. We will face it knowing, from experience, that God has never left our side. - Commentary by: Mark Natividad

*Today's Prayer:*
*Heavenly Father, bless us and our finances. Grant us wisdom and patience in times of need. Teach us to find contentment in what we have, trusting that Your provision is always enough. Amen.🙏*

*The Gospel Daily - Proclamation in Old Age*

*Today’s Verse:*
*So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim Your might to all the generations to come. - Psalm 71:18*

King David was reflecting on his youth, what the Lord had taught him and how he had been proclaiming the Lord’s wondrous deeds since his youth. David seems concerned that he may not be as useful or beneficial in his old age in proclaiming the Lord’s deeds. David asks God not to forsake him, not to leave or forget him. David realizes there will always be proclamations while he is on earth and that he will still have value. I think this is a reflection of David’s heart. He isn’t serving the Lord for an end goal of comfort or blessing. He serves the Lord to proclaim His deeds to generations, the sole purpose of being a Christian. The Lord will not forsake us in our old age, He will always have work for us to do as long as we are open to receiving it. He will never leave or forsake us, and He wants to have a relationship with us. - Commentary by Kristina Taylor

*Today’s Prayer:*
*Lord, thank You for never running out of purpose for us, no matter our age or season. I pray You’d constantly renew our strength and that we’d always see You in our lives. Please stoke the fire in our hearts to continue proclaiming your might to the generations to come. Amen.🙏*

*The Gospel Daily - The Greatest Commandments*

*Today's Verse*
*“He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” - Micah 6:8*

In the New Testament, Jesus gave us the two great commandments to live by, which summarized the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God in the Old Testament. Similarly, Micah gives us a concise summary of how to live a good life with three basic commands: do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God. Love God and your neighbor Jesus said, which incorporates treating others with love, kindness, mercy, justice, honesty, and compassion. Be humble and selfless, giving God the glory for all of your blessings, which should make you want to treat others with His love. Walking humbly with God in our hearts, surrendering our will to His makes it possible for us to accomplish all of the other instructions. So if we summarize all of the ten commandments, Micah’s three commands, and the two great commandments we get one ultimate life instruction - Love! -Commentary by: Colleen Mallette

*Today's Prayer*
*Loving Father, thank You for the instructions on how to live according to Your will that we find in the Bible. Help me to be always mindful of Your greatest command to love You and one another. Amen.*🙏

*The Gospel Daily - The Ultimate Paradox*

*Today's Verse:*
*“For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.” - Matthew 16:25*

This is the ultimate paradox: in order for Christians to find life, we are commanded to lose it for His sake. Sounds confusing right? It’s because today’s culture promotes a mentality and attitude that’s totally opposite, different and contradicting to this command. We’re taught to be selfish instead of to sacrifice. We’re told it’s not about what we can give but what we’re entitled to receive. That life isn’t about submitting to God’s authority but rather enjoying our legal rights and benefits as a Christian. If we all continue to think this way, soon there will be no more Christians willing to serve others. If we really want to find true life, start by denying oneself and take up the cross (verse 24). Let go of pride and God may even require us to release all possessions to Him (Matthew 19:21). We need to realize that our life doesn’t belong to us but to God and He bought us at a price (2 Corinthians 6:19-20). If we live, we should live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for Him (Romans 14:8). - Commentary by: Mark Natividad

*Today's Prayer:*
*Heavenly Father, I choose to deny myself and carry the cross like Your Son. Lord, I renounce anything that’s standing in the way of enabling me to completely serve and give my life to You. I lift it all up to You. Amen.🙏*

*The Gospel Daily - You Will Be Like God*

*Today's Verse:*
*But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not die; for God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” - Genesis 3:4-5 (NRSV)*

Adam and Eve were sinless and experienced perfect fellowship with God. They seemed to have everything except the forbidden fruit in the middle of the Garden. With careful persuasion, Eve saw “it was a delight to the eyes” (verse 6). Truly, no one is exempted from temptation and deception for both succumbed to the old lie: “you will be like God.” The serpent has said this to himself before (Isaiah 14:14). He cunningly shared this evil idea to the first men and still continue to even to this age. From all kinds of literature to listening to people first-hand; telling us that we can achieve divinity; we can be like gods on earth. How vain and foolish to consider such thoughts. Don’t for one second believe in any of that nonsense. Our goal is not to be like God but to emulate and follow His Son and teachings. If you wish to be first and to be great, remember what Jesus taught; serve others! “For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve” (Mark 10:43-45). - Commentary by Mark Natividad

*Today's Prayer:*
*Heavenly Father, cleanse us from all foolish and vain thoughts lest we might be deceived and be led astray by them. We humble ourselves before You. Please remove all pride and selfishness because we are nothing without You and Your grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏*

*The Gospel Daily - He Bears Us Up*

*Today’s Verse:*
*Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. - Psalm 68:19*

Previous to this verse, the power and glory of the Lord are being praised. He is blessed and worthy of our praise and worship. Daily He bears us up, provides for us, blesses us, gives us life and purpose. Some days, He is the only reason worth getting out of bed. I think sometimes we can forget that God is even involved in the mundane things of our everyday lives. He is with you during your morning cup of coffee, while you’re at work, when you wash your car, and even when you are cooking tuna casserole. He is always with us and always giving us opportunities to spread His love. Daily He bears us up. Not just when we save up enough to go on a mission trip, or when we are asked to sing in the church choir. Every day He equips us to go out into the world and fight the good fight, do His will, and spread His Love to others. - Commentary by Kristina Taylor

*Today’s Prayer:*
*Lord, thank You for providing for us and equipping us. I pray we see you in the small, mundane things and seize the opportunities You’re giving us to tell others about You, whether in action or word. Amen.🙏*

*The Gospel Daily - Contentment Matters*

*Today’s Verse:*
*Not that I say this because of need, for I have learned, in whatever situation I find myself, to be self-sufficient. - Philippians 4:11*

Being successful in the worldly sense is an elusive thing that causes us to continually strive to obtain more. Successful people are thought to be rich, famous jet-setters. We are considered lazy if we don’t work extra hours, have a nice car, shop for brand names, eat out several times per week and run our kids around to multiple activities all year round. Paul is telling the people of Philippi and us, that being a Christian means being content with what you have and where you are in life. Accepting the gift of salvation is what God considers being successful. Loving God and loving others brings happiness that defies material gain and even overrides pain and suffering. God wants us to be content with the lives He has blessed us with, and if you aren’t, then invite God more deeply into your life and you will find comfort in Him. - Commentary by Colleen Mallette

*Today’s Prayer:*
*Dear Lord, You have blessed me with an incredible life and I know I should be grateful for it all. Help me to stop striving to have a perfect life by worldly standards. Instead, let me be filled with joy through loving You and those around me. Amen.🙏*

*The Gospel Daily - Christ’s Ambassador*

*Today's Verse:*
*“So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making His appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NRSV)*

I met up with an old friend who’s working as a medical representative. He navigated years of job-hopping before finally getting hired at his present work. It didn’t take long for him to have a brand new car. He detailed how tough and rigid the hiring process was. Applicants were fastidiously screened with a series of tests, interviews, examining their education credentials, communication skills, looks, mental and physical fitness. A background investigation was also conducted without their knowledge. At this point it made me realize that being a Christian, we aren’t just ambassadors of some company, we represent Jesus Christ the King of kings, Lord of lords! Sadly, many don’t delight at that thought or share the conviction of being His ambassadors. We ought to be leading an honorable life on par with biblical standards that are a living testimony to others of our faith. Remember we are the light of the world and our light should shine before the world representing His Name (Matthew 5:13-16). - Commentary by: Mark Natividad

*Today's Prayer:*
*Heavenly Father, forgive us for not giving our best for You. Help us to change Lord with your power and the convicting of the Holy Spirit. With Your grace, make us worthy to be called, “Christ’s Ambassadors.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.🙏*

*The Gospel Daily - God’s Judgment & Faithfulness*

*Today's Verse:*
*“I know, O Lord, that your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness you have humbled me” - Psalm 119:75*

I love reading this verse as we can never fathom God’s infinite wisdom or fully comprehend the depths of His love. Like the psalmist, sometimes I question and complain to Him when unpleasant events happen (Psalm 13). Despite all the complexities and mysteries in His ways, His judgments are always right and just. Because God is holy and He cannot ignore sin. Though He readily forgives when we repent, that doesn’t undo the damage already inflicted, nor cancel the consequences set into motion. When we hear of judgment, it sounds synonymous with punishment. However, whatever the sentence is, a correction, postponement or an acquittal, in all humility we should accept it. It is best for us to learn and grow from God’s chastisement. Whether in a painful manner or not, pay close attention for it will prevent us from suffering worse. A parent seeing their child fall into bad habits or crooked ways, will surely correct their child. How much more our heavenly Father who sees everything will do! So remember don’t resent God but realize and see how faithful He is! - Commentary by: Mark Natividad

*Today's Prayer:*
*Heavenly Father, thank You for Your never-ending grace and faithfulness. Though I cannot see all the blessings or know all the plans You have for my me, I will always trust in You Lord. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.🙏*
