A Verse and a Thought

“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Works or keeping the commandments will not justify us before God. Why? Because we cannot do it. We are sold out to sin. but the law (commandments) help us to realize that we are sinners. ( knowledge of sin). I love this verse of a great song. Written by a man who had just lost his whole family;
"My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought, my sin, not in part, but the whole, is laid at the Cross, and I bare it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, oh my soul."🎼 My sin. A bliss. What? Then it says why. It is laid at the cross. No sin, no cross. I hate my sin and my weaknesses, but my need brings me to my HELP.
I pray for our younger generations, they must realize they ae sinful. Parents do not make excuses for them. They are sinners and they need to be confronted so they can run to the only ONE who can help that condition.

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: And in keeping of them there is great reward.”

If taken to heart and read daily (memorized even) these verses could make a difference between a life of shame and regret and one of joy and peace, for us, our kids and grand kids. And get this, you even get rewards to boot!!
