On Friday March 6th, St Catherine of Siena School in Wake Forest held a flag raising ceremony to celebrate the 250th birthday of America. An Honor Guard was present representing Assembly 3510 to raise the flag with the student body and staff attending.

Friday February 13, 2026. St Catherine of Siena Parish in Wake Forest hosted a Night To Shine sponsored by the Tim Tebow foundation. The Knights of Columbus were honored to be present to welcome all attendees on the red carpet!
Night to Shine is a complimentary event for people with special needs hosted by local churches around the world. The event is open to anyone living with disabilities, ages 14 and older. Each event is unique to its location, but some cornerstone activities included across all of them are a red carpet entrance complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi, hair and makeup stations, shoeshines, limousine rides, karaoke, gifts, a catered dinner, a Sensory Room, a Respite Room for parents and caregivers, dancing, and a crowning ceremony where every guest is honored as a King or a Queen - the way God sees them each and every day.

Recently two of our own Sir Knights, Faithful Scribe Don Brown and Faithful Comptroller Stephen Pitz, gave a presentation on the Knights to Mrs. Mallory's 8th Grade Social Studies class at St Catherine of Siena Catholic School. They explained the history of when, where and why the Knights of Columbus were formed as well as what their mission is today. They were also able to weave in history of Catholic men's contributions to the formation of the United States and how the Knights of Columbus played a pivotal role in President Eisenhower adding the words "Under God" to our Pledge of Allegiance on June 14, 1954.
Thank you to our Brother Sir Knights for exemplifying the main principle of the Fourth Degree... PATRIOTISM!

Thought this was GREAT to share with you Sir Knights!
Our own Faithful Comptroller SK Stephen Pitz and Trustee SK Don Brown went on an adventure up to Stovall NC north of Raleigh to visit and learn about one of our founding fathers and signer of the Declaration of Independence, John Penn! One of our duties as Sir Knights is to learn and teach others about our patriotic history of this great nation!
Way to live out the principle of Patriotism, Worthy Sir Knights!! Well done!
