Share the Joy of Music This Season: Join the Friends in Faith Children’s Choir!

The Christmas season is fast approaching, and the Friends in Faith Children’s Choir is opening registration for young singers! If your child loves to sing, build friendships, and shine a little extra light in our community, we would love to have them join us.

This free, all-faiths choir brings children together to celebrate the holiday season through music. No experience is needed—just a love for singing and a willingness to have fun!

Choir Details at a Glance

Who: Children ages 5–12

What: An all-faiths community children's choir

When: Rehearsals are held on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, starting October 1st

Where: The Church of Jesus Christ building (1524 Jenkins Road, Wake Forest, NC)

Cost: Free!

Our singers will share their music with the community during two special holiday events:

Tree Lighting Performance: Friday, December 4th

Night of Carols Performance: Sunday, December 13th

What a inspiring morning at the Wake Forest Stake Conference! Between the beautiful music and powerful testimonies, our hearts were truly lifted and centered on Jesus Christ.

Stake President Will Thornton reminded us that the joy we feel has everything to do with the focus of our lives and then extended a few special invitations for our stake:

Seek Joy in Christ: Keep your covenants, hold a current temple recommend, and attend the House of the Lord regularly.

National Month of Service: Counsel as a family to pick a day in September to go out, serve in our community, and share the light of Christ.

We also heard deeply moving messages from Sister Eurry Boris on ministering to "the one," Sister Mindy Morgan on filling our lamps through forgiveness, and President Robert Henderson on the power of earnest prayer.

✨ Spiritual Strength, Truth, and Joy: Highlights from Saturday Night’s Stake Conference! ✨

What an incredible evening at the adult session of our Wake Forest Stake Conference! We were blessed with uplifting messages and powerful reminders of how Jesus Christ brings peace and direction to our lives:

📖 Seek Daily Revelation: President Thornton reminded us of President Nelson's prophetic counsel: to survive spiritually in today’s noisy world, we must make time for quiet reflection, temple worship, and the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost.

📜 Feast on the Book of Mormon: President Turley of the Raleigh NC Mission shared how the Book of Mormon serves as a powerful second witness of Jesus Christ. He challenged us all to share one thing we love about the scriptures with a friend or neighbor this week!

💪 Weakness into Strength: Sister Turley reminded us from Ether 12:27 that we don't need to be perfect to share God’s love. When we bring a willing heart, the Lord turns our simple efforts into spiritual strength.

We are excited to see you all at The Wake Forest Stake Community Conference for Christ this weekend. Don’t forget to bring your food donations to either the Zebulon or Wake Forest buildings when you attend any of your meetings on Saturday and Sunday. Collection boxes for the food will be in the foyers at each of the sites.
