05Sep26: Isaia(h) 32:1-8 "O se malo amiotonu/A kingdom of righteousness" vs.1 "Faauta, e p**e le tupu ma le amiotonu, e p**e foi alii ma le tonu./See, the king will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule with justice." That is the scene that the people of God longed to see: to be ruled by a righteous, just, and holy king; and for his offspring to do the same throughout their lives as a nation, and a people called by God. That was a yearning that was missing within the lives of the people of God, as they continue to experience life without the real presence of their God, because of their own selfish ways. Yet God does not abandon His people, although His people were utterly horrible to their own loving, caring God. God promises that there will one day, be a ruler that will oversee His people with truth, justice, and righteousness, as promised from old times. His kingdom will reign in righteousness, and not only that, but will remain righteous in days, even years to follow. We see this being realized in, and through, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who has come down to partake in life of a human being, and yet was, and is, sinless throughout His life on earth. Christ Himself will act as, "...a hiding place from the wind, a covert from the tempest, like streams of water of dry place, like the shade of a great rock in a weary land." Let us continue to strive to live in His righteousness as Christ is with us, never leaving, nor forsaking us ever. Ia tatou tumau i le amiotonu o Iesu Keriso tatou te ola manuia ai. 03Sep26: Isaia(h) 29:13-24 "E toe logo e tutuli/The deaf will hear" vs.18 "O le a*o lava lea e lagona ai e o tutuli i upu a le tusi, e faapupulaina foi mata o e ua taua*o ina ua te'a le pouliuli ma le pogisa./On that day the deaf shall hear the words of a scroll, and freed from gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see." From being deaf, to hearing, and listening to the 'words of a scroll'. From being in gloom, and darkness, 'the eyes of a blind shall see.' This is the promise of Isaiah, that will one day be fulfilled in God's timing. Yet again the people of God were only worshipping God with their lips, probably saying all the right words of worship, uttering righteous words of praise as how they were taught, and learned from the past. Still their hearts were not in it. Their demeanor towards God, their God, Who saved them from Egypt, was flat out disengenuous, and deceitful, to say the least. They were far away from God. As a reminder, God had prepared ways to let His people know, that He is their God, and they are His people. Because of God's promises, God will prepare for His truly, devoted ones, a place, 'where the deaf will hear words of a scroll; a place that will no longer be any shortcomings of any sort, but will be a place of righteous completeness in all areas of life. The people of God will respect, be in awe, and stand ready to fulfill the will of their God and His every command. Darkness too, will not be a have a place in such a perfect place introduced by God in His time. A place where God is God, and His people acknowledges their God as the One, and Only, Holy God. The people will also know that they are God's people, and will act accordingly to the will of God. Let us strive to live with God as our Holy, One, True God; and we as His redeemed, faithful people. 02 September 26 Isaia(Isaiah)28:1-6 "O se palealii matagofie...A beautiful wreath." vs5 "O le a*o e avea ai le Alii o 'au ma palealii e matagofie, ma pale lalelei i e ua totoe o lona nuu...In that day the Lord of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant os his people." The prophet prophesies of God's judgment on the people of Israel for their pride and their indulgence. They were like a drunkard that had lost control of this senses and could no longer discern the truth. They were so caught up in the things of the world that they forgotten God. They refused to listen and to obey Him even though they, of all people, knew what was required of them. Their God had been faithful to them and had loved them even though they did not deserve it. The day of Judgment was coming and the proud would be humbled and cast down while the remnants, those who continued to honor God would be justified. "The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden underfoot." Even the priests and the prophets who failed to fulfill their obligations faithfully to the people would be judged accordingly for their actions. In the same way, as followers of Christ we must be careful not to allow our own pride and self-righteousness blind us to the truth of the gospel we represent. We must remain faithful in serving God and honoring Him alone for it is by His grace they we are saved through Jesus Christ. Like the people of Israel, we will all be judged accordingly when Christ returns...Manuia lou a*o!

01Sep26: Isaia(h) 27:2-13 "O se tovine fuatele/A fruitful vineyard" vs.6 "O ona po amuli e sosolo ai aa o Iakopo; e fuga mai ma matala o Isaraelu, ona tumu ai lea o le fogaeleele uma i ona fua./ In days to come Jacob shall take root; Israel shall blossom and put forth shoots and fill the whole world." Make no mistake about it, God does uphold His end of the covenant with His people Israel. If, and when, Israel is disobedient to their God, then they know that they will be 'reminded' of the covenant with God. Thus, God is ever so faithful to His covenantal people that God does what God said He would do, according to His word, and truth. It was inevitable, the reminder put forth from God to His ungrateful people. That is what the prophet Isaiah was doing, reminding the Israelites about the promises of God. Yet even though the promises of God saw His people taken to a far off land, by a multitude of people who probably do not believe in God, and yet God used these multitude of people to fulfill His promises, for God is sovereign over all things. Additionally, God also provides hope for His people, when hope seem to be impossible. Isaiah says, "In days to come Jacob shall take root; Israel shall blossom and put forth shoots and fill the whole world with fruit." When Jacob was uprooted from his world, and replanted in a foreign land, God shall replant the root of Jacob like before. When the fruits of Israel had dried up, and withered away, God will bring forth the fruit of Israel, and fill the whole world with the fruit of Israel. The vineyard of God, will take root, spring forth, and thrive; and its vineyard will be bountiful, and fruitful, because God caused it to be bountiful, and fruitful. 31 August 26 Isaia(Isaiah) 26:1-13 "Ua naunau lo'u agaga ia te oe...My soul yearns for you." vs8 "E moni, le Alii e, ua matou faatalitali ia te oe i le ala o au faamasinoga; o le manao o matou loto o loo i ai lea i lou suafa, ma le faamanatuga ia te oe...In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul." Isaiah prophesies the eventual deliverance of the people of Israel from captivity. God will judge the proud and the oppressor and bring them down. "For he has humbled the inhabitants of the height, the lofty city. He lays it low, lays it low to the ground, casts it to the dust." The people are reminded that their safety and well-being is in the hands of their God as long as they trust in Him. If they remain faithful to Him, He will take care of them. The unrighteousness and the wicked will be judged accordingly. That is why they yearn for God and wait for Him for they know that He is their Savior and Judge. "O Lord, you will ordain peace for us, for you have indeed done for us all our works." Isaiah gives hope to the people to endure the captivity and the challenges that they will be facing. Ultimately, God will redeem them and restore the city of Jerusalem. Their safe-keeping was not reliant on anything that they were able to do, but on the power and might of God. He alone will keep them secure if they trust in Him. As believers, the same is true for us. We thrive and persevere and live because of God's grace. We have faith in Him that we are redeemed people because of the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. There is nothing that we can and have done that will ever redeem us, only faith in Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of that, we must live for Him while we have breath in our bodies here on earth...Manuia lou a*o!

29Aug26: Iakopo (James) 3:13-18 "Atamai mai luga/Wisdom from above" vs.17 "A o le poto mai luga e muamua ona mama, i le ua filemu, e agamalu, a ganagofie, e tumu i le alofa, ma fua lelei, e le alofa faapito, e le faataga fai./But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to rea*on, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere." There are eight qualities of "wisdom", as explained by the author of the book of James. First and foremost, wisdom is pure, excellent, whole, complete, perfect. That sets up for the other genuine qualities mentioned by James: "peaceable, gentle, open to rea*on, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere." Just by reviewing this sacred listing of 'wisdom', one who is of the Wisdom of God, may conclude that it is obviously characterizing, or attempting to explain God. Although one may not even grasp the fullness of God, yet these qualities are accurate in explaining "wisdom". Additionally, it also does contrast it with what "wisdom" is not, also mentioned by James. The wisdom from above is just that: from above, where God is. In contrast with wisdom from below, or earthly wisdom. Can one even call 'wisdom from below', wisdom? For wisdom from below, or earthly, "is unspiritual, demonic...where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice." For whatever is not from God, is not good. Pure Wisdom from above is from God, who has sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. We are now, through faith in Christ, in the presence of the Wisdom from above, serving Him in His wisdom and knowledge, and not of our own. 26Aug26: 2 N.Tupu (Chronicles) 1:7-12 "Tatalo mo le meaalofa o le atamai/Asking for the gift of wisdom" vs.10 "O lenei, ia e foai mai ia te au le poto ma le atamai, ina ia ou fealuai i luma o le nuu nei; aua o ai ea se na te mafaia ona faamasinoina lou nuu nei ua tele?/Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of yours?" After King David died, his son Solomon was to succeed David as king of Israel, as how God had planned. Before officially being sworn in as king, God asked Solomon, "Ask what I should give you." Solomon responded, "Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can rule this great people of yours?" Solomon acknowledged the great task he is about to fulfill, and yet feels inadequate to fulfill it without God providing him guidance through wisdom, and knowledge. Solomon asks for wisdom and knowledge because he knows that it will be difficult to rule the people of God. Possessing wisdom, and knowledge from God, and having God guide Solomon, will help Solomon tremendously in governing God's people as how God has called him. The wisdom and knowledge of God, from God, will also help Solomon rule with confidence, and humility, in carrying out the laws of God in all situation; and to be fair and righteous in all his ruling. God was pleased with what Solomon had asked of Him, for wisdom and knowledge to govern His people the right way; that God also blessed Solomon with wealth, honor, the things that he did not ask for. When we genuinely ask God for His wisdom, and knowledge, to govern and rule our lives, God will honor, and bless our request as we continue to live for God in His wisdom and knowledge. 25Aug26: Faata'oto (Proverbs) 8:1-36 "O le atamai i le amataga/ Wisdom at the dawn of time" vs.22 "O le ALII e ona lava a'u, o le amataga o lona ala, e muamua i ana galuega anamua./ The LORD possessed me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of old." This week's enduring topic, is 'Wisdom'. From the beginning of creation of all things, there is Wisdom. God is the Creator of all things, the creation of all that is. Undoubtedly God is Wisdom, and Wisdom is God; for God possesses all wisdom, truth, and knowledge: the perfect wisdom; the perfect truth; and the perfect knowledge. These are all in God, through God, and with God. That is why it is repeated time and again, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom." When one fears the LORD, then one is not scared of the LORD, but is in reverence, and especially in awe of who the LORD is in regards to all of creation. This same wisdom of God was always present with God, even at the beginning of time, as how God has created all things in the beginning. As we continue to grow in the LORD, let us also grow in His wisdom, as He continues to reveal to us His wise ways of living. 24 August 26 Failauga(Ecclesiastes)7:1-14 "E oo mai le oti ia i tatou uma...Death comes to us all." vs2"E sili ona lelei o le alu i le fale o i ai le faanoanoa, i le alu i le fale ua fai ai le tausamiga; aua o le iuga lea o tagata uma; e manatua foi e le tagata ola i lona loto...It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for this is the end of all mankind, and the living will lay it to heart." The Philosopher contrasts wisdom and folly by using the analogy of a house of mourning and a house of feasting. It is better and wiser for one to go to a house of mourning where there is sorrow and mourning. That is where the heart of the wise should be rather than in the house of laughter and joy. Why? Because, death is the end for all of us, it is part and parcel of being human, our mortality. We cannot deny it but should embrace it, for all of us will die at some point and our physical lives on this earth will end. We must all live knowing that we will die. It should not hinder us or overwhelm us but it should encourage us to make the most of the lives that we have. As believers, we know that our lives have been given to us by our God. Therefore, we must live faithfully for Him and to honor by the lives that we live. We have been created to live and praise God so let us do that everyday while we have breath in our bodies. We know that death is only a stepping stone for those who believe in Christ for through His death we have been redeemed and will live with Him eternally...Manuia lou a*o!

22Aug26: Fa'aaliga (Revelation) 21:1-5a "Ua faafouina mea uma/All made new" vs.3 "Na ou faalogo i le leo tele mai le lagi, ua faapea mai, 'Faauta, ua i ai le afioaga o le Atua faatasi ma tagata, e mau foi o ia ma i latou; e fai foi i latou mona nuu, e ia te i latou le Atua lava./And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and be their God;" What will happen on that glorious day, when the Son of Man will return. The Apostle John is given a glimpse of what is to come, as how God, through His messengers, has revealed the sacred scene. Not only the New Jerusalem will come down from heaven, but God will also be, live, and dwell among His people, the ones who are mortals. Not only will God be among His people, to dwell among them, but God will continue to be the One, True God as how it always was, is, and beyond our comprehension, the God who reigns forevermore. The people of God will also be just that: The People of God. They will be recognized, be solidified, and probably even be immortalized as the People of God. God, who is God, will always be God, from the beginning of time as how God had invented time, up until the fullness of time, as how God has invented time. For all things, creatures, both great and small, will glorify God for who God is! Thus, all things are made new by God, in God, with God, and for God.
