This Sunday, Jesus calls us to live in a way that reflects God’s love — not for recognition, but so that the light of Christ may be seen in the world.

📢 Food Basket Notice for Our Waimānalo ʻOhana

Our Food Basket will be cancelled this Saturday (12/13) due to the Waimānalo Parade.
With roads closed and the community gathering to celebrate, we want to make sure everyone stays safe and can enjoy the festivities.

We’re grateful for everyone who shows up—whether to serve or receive—and we’ll continue our ministry at the next regular distribution on December 27th.
If you need help before then, please let us know! Mahalo!

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church is a welcoming community in Waimānalo, rooted in the Episcopal tradition of the Jesus Movement.
We follow Jesus with open hearts, curious minds, and a deep trust in God’s love.

Our beliefs are grounded in Holy Scripture and interpreted through the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed.
This means we affirm:

• One God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
• This God created all things
• The Son, the eternal Word, became fully human as Jesus of Nazareth
• Jesus lived among us, taught us, and died on the cross so humanity could be forgiven and restored
• God raises us to new life—both now and in the resurrection
• The Bible contains everything we need to know God and grow into who God calls us to be
• We experience God’s forgiveness and transformation through baptism, communion, prayer, Scripture, and belonging to a Christian community
• All of this is a gift of God’s grace—not something we earn
• Even our ability to respond to God is made possible by the Holy Spirit working within us

But here’s what matters just as much:

You don’t have to have everything figured out to be here.
We know many people come with questions, doubts, and different experiences of faith—and that’s OK.
Church isn’t a place for people who already have it all together.

It’s a place to explore, to ask, to belong, and to encounter God’s love in Jesus Christ.
Wherever you are on your journey, we would be honored to walk with you.
