In 1969 the park became the first truly modern memorial park on Maui, comparable with or even surpassing in beauty many of the finest memorial parks in the country. Professionally planned and landscaped, built with the utmost care and skill, and perpetually maintained, Maui Memorial Park has become an everlasting beautiful garden sanctuary. Dignified architecture, religious memorials of all faiths, a semi-circular tile memorial dedicated to veterans of all services of the United States of America, and originally 10 acres, now over 17, of tenderly cared-for lawns enhance the beauty of the Park.
