A gorgeous afternoon on the North Dakota State College of Science campus for the Twin Towns Block Party. Thank you to Jean Freden, Cheryl Holding Eagle, Patti Porter, and Demetrious Porter for greeting students who stopped by Evergreen UMC’s welcome table for a sweet treat! And thank you to those that provided donations of baked goods!!

Evergreen UMC will be hosting a welcome table at the Twin Towns Block Party and is in need of donated baked goods to share with the students. Mini loaves of banana bread, cookies, brownies — any easy-to-package sweet treats — are appreciated. Donations may be dropped off on Friday, August 21, between 9:30 a.m. and noon. Please contact the church office regarding any questions.

Evergreen UMC’s Sewing Group has been busy!! Another delivery of potholders (60) and utensil bags (75) to the Clark (SD) UMC — which will be picked up by the Raymond (SD) Solar Oven Partners workshop supervisor.

Interested in listening to any of the inspiring sessions from the Dakotas Annual Conference click on the link below!! Pastor Kori’s legislation was presented during Plenary 6-7 and can be found around the 38 minute mark. Pastor Gad’s message is worth a listen… however really all the speakers were phenomenal!!

Evergreen UMC will be welcoming Virg Whetsel on Sunday, June 14. Virg is a lay speaker with the Dakotas Conference and will be serving Evergreen while Pastor Kori is on Renewal Leave through August. Virg and his wife, Rev. Teresa Whetsel, live in West Fargo, ND. His wife serves as pastor for the Flame of Faith UMC in West Fargo. We welcome Virg to our Evergreen family!
