IMPACT was founded by CH (LTC) Brian Hargis on 05JUN17 and, for 7 years, was the place where hundreds were saved, baptized, restored, discipled, and encouraged in faith. HMR Chapel is a growing, enthusiastic, family-oriented congregation that worships, fellowships and serves together to develop a Christ-centered community. MISSION: To make disciples of Soldiers and families at HMR who love Jesus,

know his story, and are being equipped to follow him in life, worship and service. WHAT HAPPENED TO IMPACT??

IMPACT Chapel was disbanded on 02JUN24 by order of the Garrison Chaplain, CH (LTC) Joe Lawhorn.

The alarming closure came after a year-long investigation whereby Religious Affairs NCOs (SGM Stanfield, SFC Kim, SFC Nero, SGT Mangual, & two lower enlisted RAS) accused CH Hargis of racism, toxicity, and assault. The final investigation ordered by MG Evans revealed the false accusations of the NCOs, the failure of the Commander, (COL McGunegle) and CH Lawhorn, as well as the pervasive toxicity within the Religious Support Team.

CH Hargis was exonerated on all charges and retired thereafter. Subsequently, distain for anything associated with CH Hargis prevailed, and the IMPACT Chapel was closed as the result.
