The Refuge is where we gather! 7PM Saturday & Wednesday Nights. You are always welcome at The Refuge.

Our mission is to help people, churches, ministries and small businesses find their full potential and how they can impact their world for eternity. Daily Bread 9-10-26

“For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living Word of God. As the Scriptures say, “People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades. But the Word of the Lord remains forever.” And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭23‬-‭25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The life you live now is temporary but the life to come is forever.

Live your life now in preparation for the life to come. Tell others the Good News that was preached to you so that others may have life eternal.

Time is short. People need truth. You are a speaker of the truth in word and deed.

DAILY BREAD TEXT UPDATE. ISSUE WITH NOT RECEIVING TEXTS.

We have over 650 subscribers to Daily Bread Text service.

We send out daily, individual texts to encourage and challenge people in their faith.

Within the last 2 months we have been challenged in getting the texts out to certain subscribers due to a take over of one cellular company of another and because of this some are no longer receiving the texts even though we faithfully send them out.

If you are not receiving DAILY BREAD TEXTS any longer and you like to help "fix" the issue there are two options right now as we continue to work with the cellular company to remedy this.

#2 You can text 918-645-8758 and text "DAILY BREAD HELP". With your permission we will call you back and work on getting you up and running.

Daily Bread 9-8-26

“As God’s obedient children, never again shape your lives by the desires that you followed when you didn’t know better. Instead, shape your lives to become like the Holy One who called you. For Scripture says: “You are to be holy, because I am holy.”” 1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭

We, as believers, have a new identity as children of God. True obedience comes from a relationship with a loving Father, not by just following a set of rules.*

Be holy in all your conduct (Verse 15): Holiness means being "set apart" from sin and devoted entirely to God. This change affects every part of our daily behavior and choices.*

“Because I am holy” (Verse 16): Peter quotes Leviticus 11:44 to show that God's own pure, righteous character is the ultimate standard for us to follow. We are children of a Holy God. Like children we are weak and dependent, but our Father, who we depend on is strong, loving, just and perfect.*

“So prepare your minds for action, be completely sober [in spirit—steadfast, self-disciplined, spiritually and morally alert], fix your hope completely on the grace [of God] that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Prepare your minds for action. Don’t allow yourself to go into automatic mode with your life, just waiting on Jesus to return. No. You have been called to be alert, to be self disciplined and ready at a moments notice to do what God has prepared for you. If He was done with you here on planet Earth, He would call you to Heaven but He’s not so be ready!

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,” 1 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? How could you use your talents, abilities and things you are passionate about to serve other people? When we invest in people with our time and abilities, we invest in God’s Kingdom. Look for ways today to invest in someone’s life that make an impact for eternity.

As a believer, you are called to fulfill the role God has placed on you.

At work, where you worship, where you live, where you interact with others, always do your best. Serve people, knowing that you play a vital role in their lives no matter how small or insignificant you think it is.

You are doing your part, while someone else is doing their part.

God does not call the qualified. He qualifies those He calls.

As you live out your day, look for ways to fulfill your purpose by serving others.

The early church understood the importance of meeting together and serving one another.

In the same way, we, believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, must avoid isolation & individualism and embrace community and service to others.

We need each other to walk life’s journey while encouraging one another and looking for ways to bless others through love and a commitment to service.
