MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY: CORE Furniture Bank Home Visits
WHEN: This Sat morning, Oct 21st from 9:15 to 11:45am
WHERE: We meet at Northside Cafe at 9:15am to organize/pray/go and we are usually back by 11:45am or so. We visit families in the Akron 44306 Zip Code.
DETAILS: CORE is a furniture bank ministry in Akron. We help on the 3rd Saturday of each month by making home visits to people who have requested help - to assess need, provide voucher, and pray for/with them. We are often humbled by the extreme needs/poverty that we encounter on these visits (sadly, families without beds are very common). We are also so encouraged by the faith/love of many of the people who we meet! You will join a 2-4 person team with a leader who is familiar with the ministry and you can decide on your level of participation (observe and/or join in).
