Walking with Moms in Need invites you to an Information Night -

The Walking with Moms in Need team invites you to join them on May 28 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in Slattery Hall (basement of the St. Patrick Historic Church). There will be a short presentation about St. Brigid’s new ministry, including updates on our implementation progress and sharing ways we can make a lasting difference for pregnant and parenting mothers. If you already support young mothers through a ministry, please consider attending to share your experiences.

Welcoming our New Coordinator of Religious Education

Hi! My name is Katy Kieltyka, and I am overjoyed to be the new Coordinator of Religious Education (CRE) at St. Brigid. I have over 16 years’ experience working in religious education and youth ministry. I am a certified catechist and a certified youth minister. It has been over 18 years since I have worked at a parish in the role of CRE but my passion and excitement for working within the Catholic church has never diminished. During my hiatus from being a CRE my husband Jason and I relocated to Illinois from Michigan, and I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom for our two children. My son Josh is 19 and just finished his first year at the University of Louisville and my daughter, Evelyn is 16 and is finishing up her junior year at Carmel Catholic High School. I love working with children, catechists and families and am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the faith formation for the young people at St. Brigid.

Dan Strutzel will be ordained a deacon on May 16 at Holy Name Cathedral. Please join us on Sunday, May 17, after the 11:00 AM Mass at St. Patrick Church with a reception to congratulate Dan and his wife Elvia.

There will be a reception at Our Lady of Humility after the 9:30 AM Mass on Sunday, June 14.

May God bless Dan on his new faith journey.
