North Wadesboro Baptist Church was organized in 1923, the month of October, at the close of a tent revival conducted by J. Stella Treadaway. At the close of the revival eight people met on October the third and organized North Wadesboro Baptist Church. These eight chapter members were: Mrs. Dalton Chennis; Mr. Dalton Chennis; Mrs. Will Treadaway; Mrs. E. Heavner; Mr. Joe Munlin; Mrs. Joe Munlin; M

r. B. F. Treadaway; and Mrs. Treadaway. The lot on which the church building stands was bought by Mrs. Heavner from Mr. Hampton Allen for $125.00. The building was completed and opened in June of 1924. After entering the new building about fifty to seventy-five people joined. The first three to be baptized after the church was opened were Miss Mamie Heavner (Mrs. Mamie Hildreth); Miss Stella Munlin (Mrs. Willis Treadaway); and William J.
