Did you know Baylor has a nationally recognized expert on faith and sports who is a professor at Truett Seminary?

Meet Dr. Paul Putz, assistant professor of Christianity and Sports and director of the Faith & Sports Institute. His work explores the intersection of Christianity, sports, and American culture, examining questions of faith, identity, and purpose that play out on the field, in the stands, and beyond.

His work reflects an important part of Truett’s mission: preparing ministers and leaders to engage the places where people live, connect, and find meaning — including the world of sports.
