The power of Pentecost was on display as some members of our Wesley Chapel family wore red today. (You’re not seeing double — we took two photos to switch photographers.)

We hope you’ll wear something red and join us at 9 a.m. this Sunday, May 24, to celebrate Pentecost. This special day represents an ending as well as a beginning: the end of the “great 50 days” of the Easter season (the name “Pentecost” comes from a Greek word for “50th day”) and the beginning of the commemorations of the early church.

Why red? Red is a visual reminder of the “tongues of fire” that empowered the apostles and others to proclaim the good news of Christ's resurrection.

And don’t forget, we’ll provide breakfast snacks, juice and coffee before the worship service and have Sunday School at 10:30 after the service. We look forward to seeing you!
