Why do only 35% of marriages make it to 25 years? This Sunday we explored the first broken family in Genesis 3 and discovered something profound: our relational struggles aren't just about incompatibility—they're rooted in something deeper.
When Adam and Eve sinned, they immediately tried to clothe themselves, hide from God, and blame each other. Sound familiar? These same patterns show up in our marriages, our parenting, and our sibling relationships today. We criticize, withdraw, defend ourselves, and grasp for things to be our god instead of trusting the living God.
Yes, God clothed Adam and Eve with garments of skin—the life and death of another. But here's the hope: Jesus, in His righteousness covers our nakedness and His blood cancels the stain of our sin. This how the leopard has its spots changed. This isn't just how we become Christians; it's how we actually live as Christians in real relationships.
Want a healthier marriage? Better relationships with your kids? The answer starts with clothing yourself daily in the righteousness of Another.
