The garden is full of life even in late summer as we wait for fall blooms. Figs are ripening, hummingbirds and insects are feeding on nectar, and the native tall grasses and Maximilian sunflowers in the prairie section are starting to bloom.

Emmi Scott of Hope Fellowship took on building a labyrinth in the prayer garden as her youth "rite of passage" project a few years ago. Countless hours of volunteer work later, plus several tons of limestone and granite, it's done and ready to use for prayer and reflection. We're proud of her, and thankful that she took time away from preparing for college and practicing for All-state orchestra to create a beautiful piece of art that will bring joy and peace for years to come.

We're having a work day on MLK day from 9:00 to 4:00 if anyone wants to come by and help build the prayer labyrinth. We are also looking for a few more donations to help cover some extra costs we ran into.
