We are thrilled to introduce our new Director of Worship, Carrie Davies!🎶

Carrie is a pianist and cellist who loves crafting worship services that glorify God, encourage His people, and make use of the many gifts God has given His local church.

She and her husband, David, have had the joy of partnering together in worship ministry for more than 25 years and are parents to four wonderful children.

Carrie shared, "I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve at Wabash Friends Church, and our whole family is looking forward to getting to know all of you!"

Welcome, Carrie! We are so grateful the Lord led you to Wabash Friends!

This past Sunday, we dove into our new Job sermon series with Pastor Brad Merchant guiding us through Job 1 & 2. Although we see Job lose everything in these first couple of chapters, we also know redemption is at the end of Job’s story! We, too, can trust that the Author of Job’s story—and ours—is GOOD.

If you missed this week's sermon, head over to our YouTube channel to watch the full message.

This week Lead Pastor Brad Merchant kicked off our new sermon series on Job!

Pastor Brad gave us an overview of Job which is often considered to be a confusing, relatable, eye opening, and ultimately hopeful book. The story of Job reminds us that if you are walking with God and your life feels so painful and out of control today, that what you are experiencing right now is not where your story ends.

We hope you'll join us as journey through the book of Job over the next couple months! If you missed Sunday's sermon, check it out on our YouTube channel.

What do you do when life falls apart and God doesn’t seem to make sense? Where is God when life hurts? And can you still trust Him when you don’t understand what He’s doing? Beginning Sunday, join us for Job: When Life Gets Hard as we explore one of the Bible’s strangest and most fascinating books and discover what it teaches us about suffering, faith, and trusting God when life doesn’t make sense.

Want to go deeper? Throughout the series, we encourage you to read Suffering Wisely and Well: The Grief of Job and the Grace of God by Eric Ortlund. We’ll have 100 copies available Sunday in the Narthex for the discounted price of just $7, first come, first served. Grab a copy, gather a few friends, and consider reading and discussing it together as we journey through Job as a church.
