Divine Mercy Sunday – Confessions & Holy Hour
Sunday, April 12, 2026

Confessions will be heard from 2:00 PM – 2:50 PM
(confessions will be heard during the morning Masses also)

At 3:00 PM, the Holy Hour will begin. During this time, we will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, concluding with Solemn Vespers & Benediction.

The Lord expressed His will with regard to this feast in His very first revelation to St. Faustina. The most comprehensive revelation can be found in her Diary entry 699:

My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and a shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day are opened all the divine floodgates through which graces flow. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My mercy.

Each year on Holy Thursday, St. Peter's Veritatis Splendor Choir sings Psalm 22 during the stripping of the altar. This is such a beautiful and moving psalm that leads us from the Last Supper into the mystery of Christ’s Passion. Here is a short clip of one of the verses sung.

We would like to thank all of the choirs at St. Peter’s for their beautiful singing throughout Holy Week and the Easter celebrations. Your voices truly lifted hearts in prayer throughout the Sacred Triduum.

Congratulations to all who were fully received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil!

This year, we joyfully welcomed 13 adults and 3 children through Baptism, along with 5 candidates and 16 confirmandi. What a beautiful witness to the grace of the Holy Spirit at work!

Please continue to keep them in your prayers as they begin this new chapter in their journey with Jesus Christ.

A most blessed and Holy Easter to all of you. May the joy of the Risen Christ fill your hearts and homes with peace, hope, and renewed faith.

"Lord Jesus, good and gentle Jesus, who deigned to die for our sins and to rise for our justification, I beg You, by Your glorious Resurrection, to bring me out of the sepulcher of my vices and sins, so that I may merit to have a real share in Your Resurrection."
~ St. Augustine

During this Holy Week, the Sacrament of Confession will be available after the 8:00 AM Mass from Monday, March 30th through Wednesday, April 1st.

Please note that Confessions will not be heard after Spy Wednesday.

"Never let yourselves be deceived by the devil by keeping silent about some sin in confession out of shame. I assure you, beloved young people, that my hand trembles as I write these lines at the mere thought that a great number of Christians are eternally lost because they have not sincerely declared their sins in confession."
~ Saint John Vianney
