Dr. Carolyn Tennant ministered at Vista Assembly of God on Friday, February 20, 2026. We explored one of the most essential and often misunderstood realities of the Christian life: The Person of the Holy Spirit.

In this powerful teaching from our Holy Spirit Intensive, we examine Jesus’ words in John 16:7, where He declares that it is actually to our advantage that He returned to the Father so that the Holy Spirit—the Helper—could come.
Who is the Holy Spirit?

Is He simply a force, or is He a divine person actively involved in our lives today?
Together, we look at Scripture to discover that the Holy Spirit is not distant or abstract.
He is:
• Our Helper, Advocate, and Comforter (John 14–16)
• The empowering presence of God in the believer’s life
• The One who guides, teaches, convicts, and transforms us
• The Spirit who enables us to walk in step with God’s purposes

From the promise of Jesus to the outpouring at Pentecost (Acts 2), the Holy Spirit continues to lead the Church today. As believers, we are invited not merely to understand the Spirit intellectually, but to live in fellowship with Him daily.

In this service, we explore:
• The personhood of the Holy Spirit
• The work of the Spirit in the life of the believer
• What it means to abide in Christ
• The baptism and empowering presence of the Spirit
• How to keep in step with the Spirit in everyday life

Our prayer is that this message will encourage you to grow in your awareness of God’s presence and to walk more closely with the Spirit in every area of life.

Pastor Dave and Carolyn serve as pastors of Bethel Church in Royston, UK, and have been a blessing to their church family over many years.

Pastor Dave carries a deep love for God’s Word and is a gifted Bible teacher, as well as the author of The Coming Bride, The Garden of God, and The Garment of God.

Come expecting to be encouraged, strengthened, and refreshed in the presence of the Lord.

We are excited to host Dr. Carolyn Tennant for our Holy Spirit weekend, on Friday, February 20th thru Sunday, February 22nd! You don’t want to miss this incredible weekend of instruction and ministry!

Friday at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm: Worship, and teaching on the Holy Spirit.

Saturday morning at 9:30 - 11:30 am Worship, and teaching on the Fruit of the Spirit.

11:30 - 12:30: lunch break

Saturday afternoon at 12:30 - 1:30 pm: Worship, teaching on The Gifts of the Spirit.

This event is free! Lunch will be on our own.

Sunday 10:00 am: Regular Worship Service with Dr. Tennant speaking.
