Trials of Life
Part of the Christian walk is to have trials, it’s unavoidable. But face them with a light heart and laughter because trials can have their benefits. They test our faith and we grow in endurance. This leads to inner peace and spiritual maturity. So let these trials have their good effect. Don’t just endure them, looking for a way out, but stand confidently in the trial. This will increase your patience and your faith.
In times of trouble we may not know what to do, we need wisdom. You may feel you're not good enough to ask, but that’s not true. God loves you and wants to help. God loves to give generously.
But you must ask Him without doubting. For a man who doubts, is like the sea that is tossed about by the wind. Unbelief is like the wind, it tries to stir you up and get you to not believe what God has promised. If you choose to believe the enemy and not God, you will receive nothing.(1)
When you were born again, God gave you the mind of Christ. But you have to choose to use it. If you are constantly moving between your carnal mind and your renewed mind, you will not be able to experience the peace of God. You will be restless in all your ways.
(1)“Do you believe that God can give you wisdom, and that he will do so if you ask him? Then, go at once to him, and say, ‘Lord, this is what I need.’ Specify your wants, state your exact condition, lay the whole case before God with as much orderliness as if you were telling your story to an intelligent friend who was willing to hear it, and prepared to help you; and then say, ‘Lord, this is specifically what I think I want; and I ask this of thee believing that thou canst give it to me.’” (Spurgeon)
