Our church is gathering somewhere different on September 19!

There will be no Sabbath School or worship service at Visalia Adventist Church on Sabbath, September 19. Instead, we invite you to join us at the Visalia Convention Center for Mission Convocation 2026: LIGHT, a special day bringing together Adventist churches, Adventist Health, and the wider Adventist community across Kings and Tulare Counties.

Doors open at 9:30 AM, with the program from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Our sermon this sabbath is entitled, “He Blew It,” brought to us by Dr. Jeffrey Brown.

Jesus’s final prayer was to unite us and Satan is working to divide us. But thank God, the same Holy Spirit who blew at Pentecost is blowing today. He’s bringing men, women, and children together to speak to our planet with one voice about the love of Jesus.

There is one more thing in the same old house that we have walked past every week without stopping. At the far end of the hallway there is a plain door, and carved into the lintel above it, in the Owner’s own handwriting, are three words: I HAVE OPENED.

Jesus does not introduce Himself to Philadelphia as the Auditor. He introduces himself as the One with the key- and then He says, “I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it.” Past tense. Completed action.

Then John 10:9 turns the architecture into a Person: “I am the door.” This door does not lead deeper into the house. It leads out of it, into a life you were made for-and the Owner is standing on both sides of the threshold. You are not the door. You are the person walking through it.

Adults ages 30-50, there's a new Adult Sabbath School Study that will be starting on September 5th. Come join us as we study the Bible together. Can't wait to study together!

In Week 4 of Rethinking Your Life, we open Philippians 4 and walk into the room behind the drywall - the utility room, and the breaker box that decides what current runs through the wiring of a mind. Most of us never labeled those breakers. The good news is that the One who wired the house is standing at the panel already, and He does not open it to shame you — He opens it to stay with you.

If you are tired, anxious, or simply worn thin by the noise, you belong.

Our LOVE DOES ministry is partnering with Hands in the Community to connect volunteers with practical needs right here in our Visalia community.

There are opportunities for all kinds of skills and availability! Some of the most pressing needs right now include:

Handyman projects
Yardwork — individuals or groups
Providing rides
Electrical work
Plumbing

There are also opportunities to help with event planning, social media, and sharing stories about completed projects.
