(Evangelical Lutheran Church in America - ELCA) Life as the Gethsemane community centers around being nurtured in faith through Word and Sacrament during worship services on Sunday (9:00 am) and then being sent out into the world to serve others with our particular gifts, the greatest of which is love (1 Corinthians 13:13).

Pentecost Sunday Celebrated with Three Churches!

Even if it rained and necessitated moving the service indoors, Gethsemane, Messiah, and Our Saviors celebrated the Holy Spirit’s tongues of fire with three stations symbolizing fire, wind, and water. The beautiful Salvia, a gift to be planted, serves as a reminder of God’s guidance and presence throughout the summer.

A very special service was held on Sunday, May 17th! ❤️

✨ Dedication and Blessing of LWR Quilts ✨Gethsemane’s Mission Sewers filled the pews with beautiful quilts that they have lovingly worked on for months. We give thanks to these women — Ethie Kniivila, Lori Schiebe, Leslie Gustafson, Mary Sterling, and Eleanor Anshus (missing Sue Hiltunen) — who used their caring hands and hearts to create these beautiful quilts. Each graduating senior received a quilt, and the remaining quilts will be donated to Lutheran World Relief.

✨ Blessing of the Graduates ✨The graduates who received quilts were: Cally Anderson, Ethan Boe, Milee Gianlorenzi, Lennon Hilde, Hallie Pauling, Brady Peterson, Nolan Peterson, Connor Saxhaug, and Elijah Wedge (missing Emma Lintula and Kaija Suihkonen).
We give thanks for the parents, families, and caring adults who have raised and supported these young people in faith, love, and service to others. We pray these quilts will always remind them of God’s love and their Christian family at Gethsemane.

✨ Presentation of the Gethsemane Endowment Fund Scholarships ✨We wish this year’s scholarship recipients a year filled with blessings and hope they always know that Gethsemane will be there for them.
📚 New Recipients: Ethan Boe, Milee Gianlorenzi, Lennon Hilde, Emma Lintula, Hallie Pauling, Nolan Peterson, Connor Saxhaug, and Elijah Wedge.
📚 Returning Recipients: Ellie Gulbranson, Bethany Harvey, Alexa Ismal, Jack Manninen, Brennan Peterson, Steven Ranisate, Tyler Reid, Brant Tiedeman, Makalya Waldron, Tyson Wilson, and Vienna Zeidler.

Congratulations to all of our graduates and scholarship recipients! May God continue to guide and bless each of you in the journey ahead. 💙
