Renovation Day!

A heartfelt thank you to Richard Vandervort, Rick Kinnunen, Ken Alaspa, and Tom Lee for their hard work and dedication in helping secure the front entrance of our church by removing the old doors.
Your willingness to give your time, skills, and effort is greatly appreciated. Projects like this help keep our church safe, welcoming, and well-maintained for everyone who enters. We are blessed to have such faithful servants in our church family.

Habitat for Humanity Day

Today, on June 10th, our congregation had the opportunity to work at the Habitat for Humanity house located on the north side of town. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those who generously contributed to our community by volunteering their time and efforts. A lunch was provided by Gethsemane’s Generosity Team.

Bishop Elect Taryn Montgomery's installation will be on September 12, 2026 at 2pm at First Lutheran Church in Duluth.

Elected April 25 as bishop of the Northeastern Minnesota Synod, Taryn Montgomery is excited for the opportunity to stand on the cusp of something new.

Pollinator Sunday celebrated at Gethsemane on June 7, 2026

We pray that this plot of land would flourish as a thriving habitat for pollinators, ensuring their protection for their crucial role in enabling plants to bloom and bear fruit. We envisioned this garden as a sanctuary for both people and plants, fostering a harmonious coexistence. May the pollinators who visit this garden serve as beacons of inspiration, guiding us to become pollinators of Christ’s gospel, contributing to the wholeness of creation.
