On March 6, 2021 the UACC was honored to incardinate the Most Rev. Carl G Purvenas-Smith , OSB. Bishop Carl transferred from CACINA to the UACC through the intercommunion agreement that the UACC still maintains.

Bishop Carl has been a long-time friend of our Presiding Bishop Tony Hash, having been present at his ordination to the priesthood and as a Co-consecrator when he was made Bishop.

As well, Bishop Carl has been a good friend to the UACC being a vocal supporter of the Church during the attempted merger with CACINA. Immediately after being welcomed into the UACC, Bishop Carl assisted as Co-consecrator for the elevation of Bishop Don Pratt, OSFC.

The Church rejoices and welcomes Bishop Carl Purvenas-Smith, OSB.

Prayer for Vocations

Gracious and loving God,
You call all who believe in you to grow perfect in love
by following in the footsteps of Christ, your son.
Open the hearts of many and
call from among us more men and women
to be faithful servants of the Gospel as dedicated,
holy priests, deacons, sisters, and brothers,
who will spend themselves for your people and their needs.
Bless the clergy of the United American Catholic Church
with such courage and perseverance that
by their example of faith and love, others will be inspired
to make the world a better place.
Amen
