The Disciple Jesus Loved: A Study of the Book of John (Room 301)
“In the beginning, was the Word.”
Join us as we explore the Gospel of John over fourteen weeks using N.T. Wright’s study companion as our guide. The book of John “gives the appearance of being written by someone who was a very close friend of Jesus, and who spent the rest of his life mulling over, more and more deeply, what Jesus had done and said and achieved, praying it through from every angle, and helping others to understand it.” As we read, explore, and learn together, may the figure of Jesus become even more real to us, full of light, warmth, and promise; the Word became flesh. This is the story of God and the world, told through the lens of the disciple that Jesus loved.

On-Ramps to Theology (Room 304)
Join us as we begin a fourteen-week journey into the often-confusing world of theology. During the first 7 weeks, we’ll examine one of the first Christian statements of faith, the Apostles’ Creed. During the second, we’ll discuss one of the most significant yet readable works of arguably the most influential theologian of the fourth century, Athanasius of Alexandria. In On the Incarnation, Athanasius offers a definitive answer to the question, “Why did Christ have to come?”
