Hey teens!!!!!

Here is a chance to raise money for teen camp!! What is it??? It's a two-part event:

1) Bake day to make baked goods to support the car wash on July 1.

2) Car wash on July 2.

**Details:

We will be having a car wash/bake sale July 2nd to raise money to help those teens who want to go to the summer teen camp and haven't nailed down all the funding yet. This is a good chance to help raise funds for YOUR OWN TRIP!!

For ALL teens who are attending camp please try your best to attend this event to support the whole team.

For anyone who wants to help with baking and making signs for the event, it will be held at the Doucet’s home July 1. Please join us for a morning of baking and making signs for the car wash/bake sale. Our address for the bake day is 3129 Damascus Trail, VA Beach 23453. Baking will take place from 0900-1100 on July 1.

If you have a favorite you would like to bake send Heather the recipe and she will be sure to have the ingredients. Feel free to make any suggestions!

The car wash will be July 2 at the church from 0900-1200.

Let’s work together to raise funds so everyone can goooooo!!!!

"We need to embrace holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter as our cultural Ebenezers, letting them remind us of God’s great blessings in our own lives both in the past and the present. These holidays also help us remember that the ultimate blessing is yet to come, a new age ushered in by the return of Christ—a new age when we will live forever with our Messiah in a new heaven and a new earth."

Embracing Thanksgiving as a cultural "Ebenezer" reminds us of God's past, present, and future blessings. Here is what that means.

Thursday at 7PM.

This week’s talk will dig into the doctrine of union with Christ and some of its realities for us as Christians. Paul’s epistles are saturated with his "in Christ" theology, including the letter to the Ephesians we’ve been studying. We want to talk about what union with Christ is, how it is one gets this union, and why it’s so vital for Christian life.

"You have been brought into the family by God’s sovereign choosing and given a new family identity through the blood of Christ, our mutual brother. That doesn’t mean you don’t have to wear a mask to church, but it does mean that our fundamental family priorities of sharing our lives and caring for one another are not derailed by global crisis. Even if we have to fellowship over Zoom and pray together over Voxer for awhile, the church is still a family."

In all the important ways, nothing has changed about church. We are still the people of God, gathered in the presence of God, to bring glory to God.
