🙏 Praying for Nepal Together
Church Family, will you pray with me?
As many of you have seen, devastating floods and mudslides have swept through Nepal — hundreds killed, and thousands missing, and whole villages cut off.
We’re joining with Southern Baptists through Send Relief who are already on the ground providing food, first aid, and shelter.
This morning a Samaritan's Purse cargo plane left North Carolina with nearly 85,000 pounds of emergency supplies for Nepal. Survivors are in shock, grieving, and many have lost everything. So many of their family members and friends were killed or still missing.
Let’s pray:
God,
We come before You today with heavy and humble hearts. You see the waters that rose, the homes that are damaged, the roads that are gone, and the lives that feel turned upside down.
Lord, we lift up every person affected. Be their comfort. Be their shelter when they have no shelter. Provide for every need — food, water, clothing, a place to rest. Remind them they are not forgotten.
We lift up the responders and neighbors helping neighbors. Give them strength, protection, and wisdom, and bring each one home safe.
We lift up families who are waiting and grieving. Hold them close with Your peace that passes all understanding.
Even in this heartbreak, let Your love be seen in a hot meal, a helping hand, an open door. Show that You are still our refuge, our strong tower, and our hope. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
