Happy Juneteenth, everyone! Today, we commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States. How amazing it is that we live in a country that allows for all people’s personal and spiritual freedom. Let’s never take that freedom for granted!

This morning, Pastor Derek preached a message called the Principle of Pain and talked about how God prunes us to make us stronger. I don’t know about you, but it was exactly what I needed to hear. Be encouraged! When God makes us uncomfortable where we are it is because He is making us ready for the exciting things to come. It is not fun to experience God’s pruning, but it is always beneficial.

The RDC ladies had a wonderful time at our tea party last night. Thank you to our beautiful hosts, Laura, Michele, and Cheryl, as well as to our amazing guest speaker Beverly White, the young ladies who served, and those who helped set up the event. All the ladies had a wonderful time talking, sipping tea, eating treats, learning more about the Lord, and playing games.

Happy Memorial Day! Today, we remember the sacrifices of those who gave their all to ensure our freedom. We pray for the families who have lost loved ones, we pray for our current military members and their families, and we also pray that God will continue to allow us the liberty to worship and honor Him in all we do.
