With sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Selma at 6:17 PM yesterday. Her rosary will be at 6:00 PM on Monday, Oct. 9th at Hixon Funeral Home in Vinton. Mrs. Selma was a charter member of our CDA court. Since Monday is our scheduled CDA meeting and her rosary will be held during our regular rosary time, we will be honoring Mrs. Selma by attending her rosary instead of saying one at the meeting.

We have a very important meeting following the rosary so please try to attend. The meeting will be held in the church hall. The hall will be open at 6:00 PM. We will not be saying a rosary in the hall. The meeting will begin after Mrs. Selma’s rosary.

Please continue to pray for Mrs. Selma and her family.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

We will start cleaning the CDA room this week. We will start with the 30 chairs and tables. Please bring your own cleaning supplies.

We may not need all the scheduled dates if we finish early. You may call or text Rhonda C. to check if we are still cleaning on specific dates.

Our next CDA meeting is Monday, February 13th at the KC hall. Rosary at 6:00 PM and Meeting 6:30. Please remember to pay your dues (due by Feb. 28th) and complete your order form and turn in your money for the annual banquet (due on Feb. 20th). You should have received the banquet information in an email. If you didn't get it, you can pick up a form at the meeting.

Let's Pray together this Lent by using the booklet "Make Room for Lent." Susan Hicks and I will be leading "Lenten Prayer Time" each day at 11:00 AM starting on Ash Wednesday. The Catholic Daughters Website Store has these booklets for $5.00. You might want to purchase a booklet so that you can follow along. There is a limited supply. You do not have to purchase the booklet to participate. Just tune in at 11:00 AM each day live or whenever you can to watch the rerun. The session will be from 15 - 20 minutes. We hope to see you there.
