WWAW: I’m moving next week, and honestly I’m not looking forward to it. I’ve loved the apartment I’m in. I live alone, have a great pool and amenities, and the location is amazing. Sometimes when God is ready to grow us, He moves us out of our comfort zone. He shakes the very ground we’re standing on because if He didn’t, we probably wouldn’t move. These past couple of weeks, God has really been moving in my life and in my family’s life. I truly believe He’s shifting things to prepare us for a new season. When Abraham and Lot divided the land, Abraham told Lot to take whatever land he wanted. Abraham knew the blessing wasn’t in the land, it was in God. He knew God would go with him wherever he went and bless the ground his feet stood on. Today, I know the same is true for me, and it’s true for you too. Don’t focus so much on where you are today or where you’re going tomorrow. Focus on your relationship with the God who is with you. God Emmanuel. The God who goes before you never leaves you and never forsakes you. Wherever you find yourself, He will be there too. For encouragement, read Psalm 139:7–12. ~Austin Wade

WWAW: It’s so important to know the authority we have as believers. We will all find ourselves in seasons, situations, and moments where, if we do not use our God-given authority, things can go wrong. When Jesus talked about our authority, He said it like this: “speak to the mountain and it shall be removed.” He didn’t say to complain to Him about the mountain or even talk about the mountain. He said to speak to the mountain. I believe Jesus wants us to see the power we carry because we know that life and death are in the power of the tongue. With the power of the tongue and the authority of God, we will see mountains removed. The next time you’re faced with opposition, or a situation isn’t looking good and you see a mountain in front of you, don’t worry or let fear in. Don’t call 7-8 people and talk about it. Speak to it. Use the authority you have through Jesus, and believe in your heart without doubting. I believe that if it’s God’s will and it lines up with His Word, you will see that mountain removed. “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.’ Matthew 28:18-19 ~Austin Wade

TFTD: I love the story about Elisha and his servant who were completely surrounded by the King of Syria’s army. Understandably the servant was afraid, but Elisha wasn’t. He knew God was with them. He prayed his servant’s eyes would be opened and God answered his prayer. The servant saw in the spirit world that God’s army of angels was flanking them on every side. Why was the servant fearful but Elisha was fearless? Because they saw different things. The servant could only see the great Syrian army, but Elisha saw an even greater army of angels riding chariots of fire. If you battle with fear, meditate on Psalm 56:3, Isaiah 54:17, and 2 Kings 6:16. Then when you find yourself being attacked by the enemy, you’ll know that you know that your trust is in God, that His angelic army is with you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper! ~Marsha

TFTD: When we are bombarded with negative thoughts, we can’t let them take root in our heart. We can’t stop the enemy from attacking our minds, but we can sure enough defend ourselves with the sword of the Spirit (Word of God). How did Jesus react when satan tempted Him in the wilderness? He said, “It is written.” How are we going to know what’s written if we don’t study the Bible? I encourage you to get some verses down on the inside of you so that when you’re challenged you can say, “Not today, devil; it is written…” ~Marsha

TFTD: Have you ever thought about Jesus leaving the 99 to go after the one sheep that wandered away? It’s not a clean little lamb carried peacefully home. Lost sheep are filthy. They get tangled in thorns, and are covered in dirt, sweat, and their own mess. The longer they’re lost, the worse it gets. They can’t rescue themselves either. They’re totally dependent on the shepherd to save them. Isn’t this like us? We’ve all been stuck in places we couldn’t escape on our own. When the shepherd finds the lost sheep, he doesn’t punish it, lecture it, or force it to clean itself first. He lifts it up and puts it on his shoulders and carries it home rejoicing. The dirtiest parts of the sheep rest against the shepherd’s neck and face, and he willingly carries all of it. That’s exactly what Jesus did at the cross. He took all our shame, guilt, and sin, and He did it willingly. He became sin for us so we could become the righteousness of God in Him. Religion says, “Clean yourself up and then come back.” Jesus says, “I will carry you home Myself.” You’re not saved because you stayed clean. You’re saved because the Shepherd came for you. So stop hiding from the Shepherd who already knows where you wandered and let Him carry you. The heart of God has never been about finding perfect sheep. It’s always been about bringing lost ones home. ~Marsha

TFTD: Have you ever felt like you were on a dead end road with your walk with Jesus? I think we all have felt like that at some point. Maybe the doctor’s report came back bad, you lose your job, your child gets addicted to drugs. Life pulls the rug out from under you. You go from swimming in an ocean of optimism to drowning in a pool of pessimism. That’s when you need to bear down and build your faith. Jesus isn’t going to leave you stranded. He will walk beside you and carry you when you’re weary. Just don’t walk away from the word when doubt is pulling you under. Open the word and let Jesus walk you thru it! ~Marsha
