❤️ Sunday Morning Recap ❤️
This morning, we were challenged through the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail in 1 Samuel 25.
Nabal was known as a foolish man because when David was in need, he chose to selfishly hold onto what he had rather than help. Abigail, however, was willing to give, sacrifice, and boldly speak up. David was ready to act out of anger, but because Abigail was willing to intervene, she helped stop him from making a foolish decision that could have affected his reputation with the Lord.
🙌 Two important reminders from today’s message:
1. We must be willing to admit when we are wrong.
Admitting that you’re wrong isn’t a sign of weakness—it is a sign of strength.
2. We must practice Golden Rule living.
Treat others the way you would want to be treated. Don’t repay evil for evil or insult for insult. Instead, we are called to respond differently and be a blessing.
Sometimes God may use someone in our lives to stop us, correct us, or help us see things differently. The question is—are we willing to listen? ❤️
