Halloween reminds us of skeletons, ghosts, and things that frighten us, but the Bible invites us to look beyond the bones.
This week we began a short series called Them Bones, and we looked at a different kind of skeleton, the one in Ezekiel 37. Join us as we look beyond the bones: https://www.youtube.com/live/hJFBrczsXAo?si=iC0hy7_VpDCdtTM7&t=1505

Stop trying to fix everything yourself. Ezekiel didn't bring those bones to life. He simply obeyed.

God is the one who breathes life into dead situations.
Some wounds take time. Some problems are bigger than we are. That's okay.

God asked Ezekiel a question while he stood in a valley of dry bones: “Can these bones live?” From a human point of view, the answer looked obvious. Ezekiel answered, “Lord God, you know.” He understood that God can make the impossible possible.

Sometimes, the things we want removed are the very things that teach us to rely on a strength greater than our own. Save this for when you need a reminder that your weakness is not the end of your story.

Kristen Chittick, Log Cabin's Music Director, has decided to step back from her duties at Log Cabin. The Church was saddened by this news but we certainly wish Kristen well in all her future endeavors. We so much appreciate Kristen's dedication to Log Cabin's music program and thank her for sharing her beautiful voice with us. She and her family will always be a part of Log Cabin.
The Church was delighted to learn that Nick Pichetto has graciously agreed to accept this position going forward.

On Sunday, Log Cabin celebrated Pastor Appreciation Day. This day provided us an opportunity to show Pastor Steven just how much we appreciate him and his dedication to our Church. The Worship Service was then followed by a wonderful Potluck Luncheon in which there was much food, fellowship and many smiles. Thank you again Steven for all you do for our Church.

Being faithful to God does not mean living a life without struggles.

We often mistakenly believe that doing the right things should make life easier, but even the most faithful people carry burdens.

The presence of a thorn does not mean the absence of God.

The table of grace vs. the table of power: A deep look at the contrast between Belshazzar’s feast and the Lord’s Table. While earthly tables often divide, the table of Jesus unites us all in our shared need for grace.
