INVITATION TO THE OBSERVANCE OF LENTEN DISCIPLINE

Dear siblings in Christ:
the early Christians observed with great devotion
the days of our Lord's passion and resurrection,
and it became the custom of the Church that before the Easter celebration
there should be a forty–day season of spiritual preparation.
During this season, converts to the faith were prepared for Holy Baptism.
It was also a time when persons who had committed serious sins
and had separated themselves from the community of faith
were reconciled by penitence and forgiveness,
and restored to participation in the life of the Church.
In this way, the whole congregation was reminded
of the grace and forgiveness proclaimed in the gospel of Jesus Christ
and the need we all have to renew our faith,
to continually receive God’s mercies anew.

I invite you, therefore, in the name of the Church,
to observe a holy Lent:
by self–examination and repentance;
by prayer, fasting, and self–denial;
and by reading and meditating on God's Holy Word.
To make a right beginning of repentance,
and as a mark of our mortal nature,
let us now kneel (bow) before our Creator and Redeemer.

Bishop’s Evening on the Delaware Bay District

Bishop Moore-Koikoi will be visiting the district on February 19 at 7pm! This will be a time of worship and Q&A with the Bishop! All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Please use the Sherman Ave parking lot entrance and enter
the sanctuary by using the ramp until the ice has been melted in the rest of the lot.

Please use caution ⚠️ Please be careful. We don't want anyone to fall!

Mt Pleasant & South Vineland…What a blessing to be together in our Space of Grace this Sunday! May we continue to dwell together in the spirit of unity and oneness as we grow together in Christ.

Due to the icy weather conditions the Yard Sale for February has been cancelled. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the March Sale!!

In person worship service is cancelled tomorrow due to inclement weather, extreme cold, and icy conditions in the parking lot. We will gather on Zoom at 11AM as we continue to stay connected to Jesus and each other! A link will be provided.
