This past Saturday we had our bi-annual bbq. At our church, no one can remember a time that we DID NOT have the fall bbq and spring bbq except that pesky covid-infested 2020. So, we know this bbq has been happening for at least 75 years. This year we had a possible record-breaking number of chicken halves- 108!
If you’ve never had our bbq, whew! You are missing out. Big thanks to our guys who do all the grilling on bbq days!

❤️ We Need Your Help! Rib Cook-Off Pre-Orders Are Open! 🍖

Please make sure you get your orders in for the Rib Cook-Off! All orders must be placed in advance no walk-ups!

I’ll be posting the flyer here. If you could print it out and share it with your churches, your Job and friends and family we would greatly appreciate it! We will have two pickup locations, One in Mobile and one in Citronelle, and we’ll make sure you receive your ribs.

We need those orders to start coming in, so please step up, spread the word, and help us make this a success! Every order and every share makes a difference. 🙌❤️

How remarkable is this? People were moving to this area, trying to build a life in these Alabama woods. And here is this woman, in a time when women didn’t have much independence, sailing literally to the other side of the world in order to serve people and God.

🗓 On This Date 🗓 September 1, 1873—Lottie Moon sailed for China.

At 32 years old, she had been appointed by the Foreign Mission Board (now IMB) just weeks earlier. She sailed for Tengchow, China, and for the next 39 years she called China home—sharing the gospel, serving the people, and leaving a lasting legacy of missions.

Today—153 years later—her faithful witness continues to inspire through the ongoing work of IMB and WMU, all to the glory of God. 🌎✝️
