Asked a question on what scripture or why people should bless physical Israel above all others? I believe we should do good to all people, especially if the household of faith. But what is the foundation of this systemic teaching over the past 150-200 years on bless the Jews and be blessed and curse the Jews and be cursed.

The answer from a friend is Genesis 12:3, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

So “thee” is supposedly applied to all physical Jews and not just a promise to Abraham. Again Gal 3:16, “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Paul makes clear who are Jews, Romans 2:28-29 “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”

Abraham was The LORD’s anointed because through him the seed of the woman, Jesus, would save all the world. Not just the Jews only, but all nations would have access to God the Father through the eternal covenant of the cross and blood of Christ. That meant no individual, king, kingdom or any satanic power could hinder the process of God through this promise for the redemption of all the world. God delivered Abraham and his descendants, not because of their righteousness, but because of the promise of Eternal life that God promised to all the world. “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;”.Titus 1:2.

He promised His only begotten Son a body to fulfill the plan of redemption that was signed, sealed and delivered by The Only Begotten, Wisdom and Word of God, when He agreed before the foundations of the world to be crucified and die upon a cross. Rev 13:8 “… the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Heb 10:5 “Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:” This was the fulfillment of Gen 3:15 spoken by Jehovah to the serpent at the fall of Adam and Eve when according to Gal 4:4 “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,”

Jesus end time prophecy concerning the Jews was fulfilled in 70AD. Jesus is the Chosen One from eternity past, not a carnal, sinful people that continue to deceive those that are the children of promise. Gal 4:28 “Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.” As long as Christians support the physical seed, then they are useful for a purpose. But if The Churh ever views the son of the bondwoman in a Biblical text, then The Churcheoukd be persecuted again as it was in the book of Acts and post apostolic times.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “The Jews are God’s chosen people.” Evangelical Christianity has heard that, or a version of that phrase over the past 150 years that the Jewish people are currently the “chosen people of God.” A good question to ask oneself concerning this assertion is “What were the Jews chosen for” when God chose Abraham some 4000 years ago? If what they were “chosen for” has come to pass, what are they still chosen for and why.” Unless of course you believe “Once Chosen Always Chosen,” we might want to consider this.

Unfortunately for many Churches at the turn of the 20th Century, many adopted a form of biblical interpretation based on a relatively new theory with roots of the early 1830’s called Dispensationalism. It was from this school of thought the idea was postulated that physical Jews still played an integral part in fulfilling end time prophecy. This theory established the idea that a physical state of Israel needed to be reestablished in Palestine to fulfill a missing link, (7 years), of a 2500 year old prophecy recorded in Daniel 9 referred to as Daniel’s 70 Weeks, and then Christ would return to set up His Kingdom on earth.

The 19th Century was rife with many new groups springing up in Europe and America. One of the common doctrine of these new groups that caused denominational Christians to gravitate to these new sects was the preaching on End Time events. It was in these times of the 1830’s that the new ideas of John Nelson Darby began to get a following in Great Britain among the Plymouth Brethren churches. After 70 years, his teaching of Dispensationalism and a pretribulation coming of Christ for only The Church was popularized by the new Scofield Study Bible, printed by Univerity Press in 1909. This new doctrine of Dispensationalism of John Nelson Darby became an accepted form of interpretation, especially concerning prophetic End Time events. Being popularized by the new Scofield Study Bible, it became entrenched in the evangelical movement when every graduate of Moody Bible Institute was given a free gift copy of it which disseminated its ideas and notes among thousands of congregations throughout America. What a great marketing campaign.

Going back to our initial question on why was Abraham chosen and subsequently his offspring. It is my opinion, which some feel insulted for phrasing this way, that Abraham was chosen because he believed in the 1 Most High God in the midst of idolatry in Ur of the Chaldea. In his seed, all the nations of the world would be blessed. In Galatians 3:16, “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Please note, that this seed of Abraham, which was prophesied and fulfilled only in the birth, life, death, and resurrection of the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ the Savior of ALL the world, brought the blessings of Abraham upon all the world. We do not dismiss or ignore the great contributions of the Jewish people upon societies in medicine, science, education, as well as entertainment and financing. But the physical offspring of Abraham were the chosen people until the seed of Abraham, through the lineage of King David, produced the redeemer of all the world through Jesus the Christ. The chosen status of the Jews was only during a “dispensation” we call The Old Testament, to provide the virgin womb to produce the seed of the woman who was to crush the serpent’s head and bring redemption for all mankind as the Last Adam. No more need for a physical seed to observe an antiquated elementary system that was only to show mankind their sinfulness and bring them to the realization of their need for a Savior. Unfortunately the deeds of the Law produced self-righteousness in them instead of a brokenness and contrition before God, which drove them to crucify their Lord and Christ.

So what about the fulfilling of these last 7 years of Daniel’s 70th Week of an antichrist slaying a pig in a future temple in Jerusalem? This is all man made ideas who choose to believe that a physical kingdom of Christ is yet futuristic instead of the belief that the Kingdom of God is now in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ reigns now until all things will be brought under His Lordship, and then the end will come. 1 Cor 15:24 “Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”

By the way, the New Testament Church, made up of Jews and Gentiles, are now the Chosen people of God. For what purpose are we chosen?
1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” May I warn us all, that if we the Church fail in our purpose of being the chosen people of God, then we also will be cast away like the Jews for failing to accept the call to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The Church’s calling is to show forth the praises of God to this sin darkened world that the glorious light of the Gospel of the Kingdom might shine through us. If we lose our light, salt or praise, what good are we to the Kingdom of God, but to be cast out and be burned. Which is exactly what happened in 70AD to the Temple and Jews being burned by the Romans by the hand of God wrath and judgment. “And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.” Galatians 6:12. I would like to share my thought tonight on where does the United States figure in end time prophecy. Many know that the USA is not directly mentioned or indirectly alluded to in the book of Revelation. Some believe that the USA will cease to be a super power in the time of the end of the age before the glorious coming of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We read in Deuteronomy 32:8 “When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.” Other translations, as well as the Greek Septuagint, translates the end of this verse “according to the number of the sons of God” or “ heavenly host.”

So when did God the Father divide the nations? We read in Genesis 10:24-25 of Noah’s son Shem after the flood where “Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.” It was during this time of Peleg’s life, that the Earth was divided. Some believe this was caused by the rising ocean levels after the Ice Age which occurred immediately after the worldwide flood. Some, I believe, erroneously interpret this to prove the theory of Pangea which is popular among some evolutionists and Bible scholars.

In the apocryphal book of “Jubilees,” I came across this portion referencing the dividing of the Earth to the sons of Noah:

“1567 A.M.
8. And in the sixth year thereof, she bare him a son, and he called his name Peleg; for in the days when he was born the children of Noah began to divide the earth amongst themselves: for this reason he called his name Peleg. 5 9. And they divided (it) secretly 6 amongst themselves, and told it to Noah. 10. And it came to pass in the beginning of the thirty-third jubilee that they divided

the earth into three parts, for Shem and Ham and Japheth, according to the inheritance of each, in the first year in the first week, when one of us, 1 who had been sent, was with them. 11. And he called his sons, and they drew nigh to him, they and their children, and he divided the earth into the lots, which his three sons were to take in possession, and they reached forth their hands, and took the writing out of the bosom of Noah, their father. 12. And there came forth on the writing as Shem's lot 2 the middle of the earth 3 which he should take as an inheritance for himself and for his sons for the generations of eternity, from the middle of the mountain range of Râfâ, 4 from the mouth of the water from the river Tînâ. 5 and his portion goeth towards the west through the midst of this river, and it extendeth till it reacheth the water of the abysses, out of which this river goeth forth and poureth its waters into the sea Mê’at, 6 and this river floweth into the great sea. And all that is towards the north is Japheth's, and all that is towards the south belongeth to Shem. 13. And it extendeth till it reacheth Kârâsô: 7 this is in the bosom of the tongue 8 which looketh towards the south. 14. And his portion extendeth along the great sea, and it extendeth in a straight line till it reacheth the west of the tongue which looketh towards the south; 1 for this sea is named the tongue of the Egyptian Sea. 2 15. And it turneth from here towards the south towards the mouth of the great sea 3 on the shore of (its) waters, and it extendeth to the west to ‘Afrâ 4 and it extendeth till it reacheth the waters of the river Gihon, and to the south of the waters of Gihon, 5 to the banks of this river. 16. And it extendeth towards the east, till it reacheth the Garden of Eden, to the south thereof, [to the south] and from the east of the whole land of Eden and of the whole cast, it turneth to the †east,† 6 and proceedeth till it reacheth the east of the mountain named Râfâ, and it descendeth to the bank of the mouth of the river Tînâ. 17. This portion came forth by lot for Shem and his sons, that they should possess it for ever unto his generations for evermore. 18. And Noah rejoiced that this portion came forth for Shem and for his sons, and he remembered all that he had spoken with his mouth in prophecy; for he had said:
Blessed be the Lord God of Shem,
And may the Lord dwell in the dwelling of Shem."

If the account of Jubilee is true concerning the division of the Earth for Shem’s, Ham’s, and Japheth’s descendants, then it very could be North, Central, and South America we’re not even known or settled by the post flood families at that time.

Therefore, if the nations being divided was according to the number of angelic sons of God, it would be reasonable that 2/3 of the nations would be receptive towards the Gospel of Jesus Christ as Son of God while the fallen 1/3 angels over their nations would reject as a whole the Gospel message. Out of the almost 200 world nations, we should find about 133 nations that are predominantly Christian. According to Google, “Although Christians comprise just under a third of the world's people, they form a majority of the population in 158 countries and territories, about two-thirds of all the countries and territories in the world.Dec 19, 2011”

So to answer will the United States be removed as a nation or neutralized as a nation before the 2nd coming of Christ, I really don’t know. But one thing I do know is there is a God in Heaven that sits upon a throne, where the Earth is His footstool, and His Only Begotten Son named Jesus sits at His right hand, who is watching over His Word to fulfill it in establishing a Kingdom that has no ends.
