I have wanted to make this post so often but Holy Spirit keep saying not yet. Today, this devotional speaks perfectly. We understand that some people are sad and hurting about the church changes. Please understand the members of the church voted to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church. The reason is because of the changes the UMC has decided to embrace that go directly against God’s Holy word. This is NO reflection on our Pastor. A meeting was announced following the vote to disaffiliate to discuss and decide our next steps. At that meeting Pastor Chuck Salvo shared his beliefs and visions. We voted as a church to allow Pastor Chuck to purchase and lead the church. If that didn’t happen, the doors of the church would have closed. As difficult as change can be, change is necessary for growth. Our community needs this change to accomplish the vision Bro Jerry prophesied over this church. We are called to be Disciples of Christ. The disciples changed as they grew in their relationship with Christ and so should we. EVERYONE will be welcome at On Fire Big Spring and we hope to see you there for the first service Dec 9th at 7pm!
