One more thing. We must plan to attend the meeting that is held in May where Mr. Carpenter along with some of or at least one of the Trustees will show and where your voice can be heard.

I am sorry it has a while since you have heard from me but I have not forgotten our goal here and that is to get our cemetery back in the hands of the people. I have had a major surgery and was home two weeks only to have to be admitted again and stayed for five days to find I have another problem but I am thankful that my doctor and I both agree to manage this problem so hopefully I won't ever need a surgery for this problem. Meanwhile I have been dealing with a lot and the loss of my son has taken me down a dark road and the depression has been at times a bit more than I can handle but here I am. We need to meet again and I will let you know and hope to see as many of you there as possible. This will be our last meeting until the meeting in May where Mr. Carpenter and the Trustees are supposed to attend. They have not attended any meetings I have informed them of and although I sent letters certified mail still I have heard nothing. Folks we need to pray about this and stand together on this. If we look the other way and hope things will get better they won't. I don't know about all of you but as summer gets closer I fear many things from our loved ones graves will be removed so we have to make a point to join together and take care of this ongoing problem. Once again sorry it has been a while but know I haven't forgotten our goal.

For all who have loved ones, plots, or an interest in Village Mills Cemetery and the way things are being handled; I could use your help, advice, and input. I just found out today that James Carpenter has spent money on a second sign placed at the cemetery concerning what is not allowed on graves. I don't have all the prior knowledge concerning our cemetery and how it came to be. I took the position as President hoping to make changes but seems things are getting worse. We have one man running the show and not sure how this is being done. My husband and myself have unjustly voted out. As I see it I am still the President but can't conduct or do much when none of the remaining Trustees will not attend meetings. I can't conduct a meeting to have a trustee voted out if no trustees attend. I need help in this matter. Here is the number to the Texas Cemetery Association 817-339-8210. For those of you who are more knowledgeable concerning our cemetery or anyone wanting to help please contact the TCA and ask questions on what if anything can be done. Maybe if we bombard them with calls some one will take notice and lead us in the right direction. If you could help then please do. If you find out any information then please pm me and I will give you my number so we can compare notes on what we find out and hopefully find a way to get all new Trustees voted in. Until that happens I don't see this man stepping down or stopping what he is doing. Our cemetery should be a place of peace where we go to visit our loved ones. I for one don't find that peace when I go out and find all my sons flowers and other memorabilia removed and thrown away and burned. Friends this is being done by one man. Ask yourself why is only one trustee allowed this much control and why is he the only trustee removing items from our loved ones resting place. It is going to take more than one person to get something done.

Our meeting Saturday was a success. I can't express how thankful and grateful I was for all those that took the time to come out and give their support. None of the Trustees showed up although letters were sent to them. We did have a great show of our community. I've never seen such support and care from such a great group of people. Everyone had questions and concerns but more than that they all had great ideas and input. I learned so much and so many were eager to help me and that in itself was such a blessing. I would like to thank you all for your support, your input, your willingness to help and your patience with me. We are going to make some changes and it will take time. I ask that you continue to place flowers on your loved ones resting place as it looks so cold out there. I pray that it will be left alone. This is something we are working on but as I said this will take time. I ask for prayers for guidance and favor. Again thank you all because I could not have done this without you all. God Bless all of you that were able to come and those that weren't for whatever reason know that I know you wanted to be there and that I am thankful for. Again God Bless you all. I will keep all of you updated as soon as I am updated. I have tried several times to reach the Texas Cemetery Association and am going to try and call them again tomorrow. I'm sorry you haven't heard from me in a while but with the storm and my daughter and her family losing everything and us being stranded I have been a bit of a mess but I haven't forgotten our goal. I will take a break tomorrow from all the stress and then I will begin to get organized for our meeting on Sept. 9th 2017, provided we are not hit a second time by Irma. I want to get this done and things changed and behind us. I still need all the support I can get as this is not going to be an easy task but one well worth it. I hope to hear from some of you soon and if any of you lost your home I am so very sorry and if some of you are displaced again I am sorry. Prayers go out to you all.

I was preparing a meeting for this Saturday out at the cemetery but due to the weather and the fact that I have a lot to get organized before the meeting I am going to put it off until the Saturday after Labor Day as I did not realize Labor Day was coming up and there are many who want to attend the meeting but have already made plans. Many have asked that I put the meeting off until then so they can attend as they all have an interest in their cemetery. The meeting will be held Saturday Sept. the 9th 2017 and the VMCA pavillion at 9 a.m.

I am preparing a meeting for all interested early Saturday morning. I do hope to see many of you there as it concerns all of us. The removal of flowers and personal items will continue unless we stand together. Praying for a good turn out and praying we get this and other problems solved
