🎄 This Christmas, WestHills has the opportunity to bless around 50 women and children in the Philippines who have been impacted by the s*x trafficking industry through our friends at Safe Refuge International.
Safe Refuge centers its work in the gospel while providing counseling, Bible studies, medical care, education, job training, parenting classes, and more. Their local Filipino staff faithfully walk alongside these women and children throughout the year.
This year, we want to help make Christmas special for each person Safe Refuge serves. Rather than shipping gifts from the U.S., which can be costly, our financial gift will allow the Safe Refuge team to shop locally and provide personalized Christmas gifts and food for each woman and child at their annual Safe Christmas party.
Our goal is to give $1,800, or approximately $30 for each woman and child.
You can help us reach that goal by giving through Church Center. Select “Safe Christmas” from the giving dropdown.
💌 You can also participate through your Homegroup! Each Homegroup will receive names of women and/or children to write a personal, encouraging Christmas letter to. Letters are due September 6 and will be delivered to the women and children by Naomi Jensen, missionary and founder of Safe Refuge.
If you aren't in a Homegroup, you can still write a letter or card, including one for someone you have previously sponsored.
