💛🌻 Today was one of those days at Hannah's House that reminds me just how much love can come from even the deepest heartbreak. 🌻💛

My dear friend Brenda and her sweet granddaughter Emma stopped by Hannah's House today to bless our women in such a beautiful and meaningful way.

Today is Danielle's birthday. Danielle was Brenda's daughter, Emma's mom, and a beautiful soul who sadly lost her battle with addiction. 💔 But today, instead of allowing grief to have the final word, Brenda and Emma chose to celebrate Danielle's life by pouring love, encouragement, and hope back into women who are fighting the very battle Danielle fought.

And let me tell you, they went ALL OUT! 💛

Every one of our women received a coffee mug filled with some of Danielle's favorite drinks and snacks, along with little reminders that they are STRONG, CAPABLE, AMAZING, and worthy of recovery! They also brought us an entire coffee and snack bar filled with goodies, dedicated to Danielle's memory.

Danielle loved her coffee, her snacks, and spending time talking with her friends. And I can only imagine how much she would have absolutely ADORED knowing that something she loved so much is now being shared with women working hard to change their lives. 🥹❤️

What touches my heart the most is that Brenda and Emma continue to turn their pain into purpose. They know firsthand the devastation addiction can bring to a family, yet they continue to show up for the recovery community, reminding women that they matter, that they are loved, and that they CAN do hard things.

Keep showing up. Keep fighting. Keep doing the next right thing. One day at a time. ❤️

Brenda and Emma, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! Thank you for loving our women, for believing in them, and for allowing Danielle's memory to continue making a difference in the lives of others. You have no idea how much this means to us.

And to Danielle, Happy Heavenly Birthday! 🌻💛 Your life mattered. Your story matters. And today, your memory brought smiles, encouragement, and a whole lot of love to Hannah's House.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to the Masury Brookfield Women's Clun for inviting me out last night to share about Hannah’s House! ❤️

I am always so grateful for the opportunity to share not only what we do at Hannah’s House, but also what God is doing in the lives of the women He has entrusted to our care.

Hannah’s House is so much more than a recovery program. It is a place where women are given the opportunity to heal, grow, rebuild their lives, restore relationships, and most importantly, develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. We get a front-row seat to watching God take broken pieces and turn them into something beautiful!

Thank you, ladies, for welcoming me, for taking the time to learn about our ministry, and for having hearts to serve others in our community. It truly means so much to have people who believe in what we do and want to be a part of making a difference.

We couldn't do what we do without the love, prayers, and support of our community. I am so thankful for each and every person God places in our path! 🦋❤️

I have been wanting to share some of these pictures from Angie’s graduation because this girl deserves to be celebrated! 💜🦋

Angie came to Hannah’s House and spent an entire year doing the hard work. And when I say hard work, I don’t just mean completing classes and assignments. Recovery requires you to look at yourself, face things you would rather avoid, allow God into some really broken places, accept correction, make changes, get back up when you stumble, and keep going. And that is exactly what I watched Angie do.

There were good days, hard days, tears, laughter, growing pains, and probably a few days she wasn’t too fond of me 😂 — but through it all, she kept going.

One of my favorite parts of being the Director of Hannah’s House is getting a front row seat to watch God completely transform lives. I get to meet women during some of the hardest seasons of their lives and then watch them slowly begin to see themselves differently, believe they are worthy of a different life, and become the women God created them to be.

Angie, I am so proud of you.

And what makes me even prouder is that you didn’t treat graduation like the finish line. You have continued doing the work, moved into our transitional apartments, started working, found a sponsor, stayed connected to meetings and counseling, and continued building a life centered around your recovery.

That is what this is all about.

Not perfection. Progress. One day at a time. Choosing differently today than you did yesterday and trusting God with tomorrow.

You have walked through some incredibly difficult things, including losing your dad right before graduation, and yet you continued to put one foot in front of the other. I know he would be so proud of you. ❤️

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” Philippians 1:6

Keep going, Ang. Keep doing the next right thing. Keep protecting what God has given you. And when life gets hard, never forget how far you have already come.

I love you and I am so proud of you. Your Hannah’s House family will always be in your corner. 💜🦋

Angie's Testimony - A Story of God's Restoration, Healing, and New Beginnings

Hi, my name is Angie. From the outside looking in, my family may have seemed perfect, but behind closed doors, it was anything but. Much of my childhood was consumed by alcohol, drugs, and abuse from my mother. I had a stepfather who did his best to hold our family together, but the pain and chaos in our home continued to grow. As the abuse got worse, I eventually left home at 14 years old and moved in with family friends.

At 16, I met a man who would change the course of my life. By the time I was 19, I had two children and had gone to jail for the first time. During this season, I was introduced to crack co***ne, and before long, I found myself back in jail again. The man I met at 16 pulled me into what would become the hardest chapter of my life - a chapter that lasted 25 years. Those years were filled with drugs, jail, fear, mental abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and constant uncertainty. I never knew what was going to happen next. My life felt controlled by chaos, addiction, and survival. Over time, I lost everything that had ever meant anything to me. I lost custody of my daughter. I lost relationships with my dad and my brother. I lost pieces of myself along the way, and for a long time, I did not know if I would ever get any of it back.

But even when I could not see Him, God was still working.

Eventually, I made my way to Ohio to escape the abuse of my ex. At the time, I may not have understood it, but God knew exactly what He was doing. That path led me to Hannah's House.

And Hannah's House has changed my life.

The sisterhood I found here has shown me that I am not alone. I have learned that my life does not have to be filled with abuse, fear, addiction, and chaos. I have learned that I am worthy of love, healing, peace, and a new beginning. I have learned that God can restore what the enemy tried to destroy.

Today, I am learning who I am in Christ. I have learned how to trust God and believe that He always has my best interest at heart, no matter what I am facing. I have learned how to forgive, how to heal, how to set boundaries, and how to walk in freedom. God is teaching me how to love others in a healthy way and how to allow myself to be loved without fear.

My past is part of my story, but it does not get to define my future. What the enemy meant to use to destroy me, God is using to rebuild me. He is restoring my heart, my hope, my identity, and my life one day at a time.

I am grateful for Hannah's House, for the women who have walked beside me, for the staff who have loved me through this process, and most of all, for a God who never gave up on me.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

We want to send a heartfelt thank you to some beautiful sisters in Christ from North Mar Church for blessing the women of Hannah’s House with their time, skills, and supplies to help us plant a garden. 🌱💕

Your willingness to come alongside our women and pour into them through something so meaningful is such a gift. This garden is more than just plants in the ground — it is a picture of growth, patience, care, and the beauty God brings when seeds are planted in good soil.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus and for helping create a space where our women can learn, grow, and be reminded that God is always working beneath the surface.
