NoVES Members and friends are encouraged to join the March on Washington on Friday, August 28, 2026. We will meet at 8:30 AM at the Vietnam Women's Memorial near the Lincoln Memorial, and then walk to the event together. If you want to get updates about the event, please leave a message below. We had a great time at the Joint Societies Picnic at Glen Echo Park today! Washington Ethical and Northern VA Ethical Societies members and friends enjoyed meeting each other, but we missed the Baltimore members who couldn’t make this one due to transportation issues. We hope to see you next time!

The Northern Virginia Ethical society was proud to honor Evie Nyilasi with the Anna Garlin Spencer award tonight at the AEU Assembly awards dinner. She was recognized for her years of service on the La Mano Amiga board and her work with Getting Money out of politics in both Loudoun County and Richmond, all while maintaining her commitment to her school work and others programs. She exemplifies the spirit of dedication to making the world around her a better place!

Celebrating 150 years of the Ethical Culture movement at the 111th American Ethical Union Assembly!

🎉 The Movement that put "Deed Before Creed" on the map turns 150, and we're throwing a party right where it started!

The 111th Assembly (July 24–26) returns to the New York Society for Ethical Culture for four days of speakers, workshops, and connection, plus a Saturday banquet honoring two remarkable honorees: Dr. Arthur Dobrin, receiving the Felix Adler Lifetime Achievement Award, and PBS, receiving the Elliott-Black Award.
A century and a half of deed before creed, and we're just getting started. 💛
