In the past 13 months, our amazing volunteers have packed approximately 300,000 boxes of food that have gone out across the region!
If you have volunteered even just one time at McLean Bible Church - Tysons - you definitely recognize the faces in the pictures below! Leah Buller and Caleb Barnhart have served as the Packing Coordinators from Day 1!

They were each plucked from full-time positions elsewhere in the church - Leah from The Rock Tysons student ministry and Caleb from Access Ministry. Without them, none of this would have been possible!

Starting May 1, both Caleb and Leah return to their "regular" jobs at McLean Bible Church. We are excited for them, but are DEFINITELY going to miss them. We thank them for their tireless work, endless cheerfulness, and amazing flexibility to roll with the punches as we all learned on the fly how to turn a church into an effective food-packing warehouse!

Caleb and Leah truly embody Colossians 3:23 - Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people.

So if you see either of them this week, make sure you say "THANKS"!
If you want to come pack boxes AFTER May 1, never fear - the equally amazing Nicholas Rupprecht is staying with the outreach team and will continue to lead packing shifts!

Over the last year, we have been blessed to distribute over 13,000,000 pounds of food to literally hundreds of thousands of people. God has been so gracious to provide numerous volunteers to serve our city in over 20 different communities!

We are blessed to have additional opportunities to serve neighborhoods across DC, Maryland, and Virginia in the months ahead.

We are constantly ministering to these needs across greater Washington, D.C. These ministries have gone to an entirely new level as a result of COVID-19. Every week, we are packing tens of thousands of pounds of food and essential resources, and then delivering boxes filled with these goods to thousands of families in at-risk communities across our city. Along the way, we are sharing the good news of God’s love in Jesus.

No CDL needed - you must be 21 or older and have a relatively clean driving record!

As our amazing volunteers serve in over 20 communities in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, we continue to see heart-breaking physical needs. But we are so encouraged to also see how God is moving in these same communities! We consider it a privilege and a blessing to continue to share hope and God's love with people across our city.

You can join our Care Team! Specifically, we have a great need for volunteers willing to drive a box truck to a food distribution site. You only need to be 21 or older with a relatively clean driving record. We can provide all necessary training - you don't even need a CDL!

Great opportunity for a teacher, a college student home for the summer, or others with flexible schedules!
