Jesus came into the world At just the right time
We could never be good enough to earn salvation, so Jesus lived a perfect life on our behalf. Why?
Because of love.

God wanted us to be a part of his family. Out of love, he adopted us through the work of Christ. We are now the sons and daughters of God. Jesus is our brother and we can rest in the love of the Father.

It was like any other night on the Judean hillside. While newborn cries rang out in a Bethlehem stable, shepherds tended their sheep under a blanket of darkness. God had not formally spoken to His people in over 400 years.
Suddenly light pierced the black sky. An angel interrupted
the silence. The shepherds sat stunned and absolutely
terrified as God’s long-awaited glory now surrounded them.
The message was not one of judgment but grace. He
brought them good news of great joy for all people.

He brought good news that a Savior had been born just as God
promised. His messaged evoked great joy in all who heard
it. And the truth he spoke was not just for the religious or
national elite — it was for everyone.

The truth Jesus gave His disciples — and us — should anchor us in uncertain times. Jesus empowers us with His Spirit and equips us with His peace.
It is a message for all who live in between His advents. As we wait for His return, we reflect on what He taught us. We live out our faith in loving obedience. So He gave us what our troubled souls need most — a Helper and His peace.
If anxiety bubbles within you today, take a moment to pause. Remember what Jesus promised you. Reflect on what is to come. Rely fully on the Helper who will be with you no matter what comes.
Then take a breath. Can you sense His peace

Because Advent is about the future, we live in hope. Anticipating a better tomorrow even when we struggle with the realities of today, we keep our eyes on the God of hope.

One of my favorite passages in the Bible comes from Isaiah 61:3 “…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair”.
His promise here of beauty for ashes is the very life in his breath. He speaks in Isaiah 61, to assure us that no destructive force in our lives is greater than his plan to redeem it all.
The same power that grows “oaks of righteousness” (Isaiah 61:3) out of dirt, is the power God has to exchange our hopelessness with hope.
