As we come to the close of this remarkable year at Our Lady of Lourdes, my heart is filled with gratitude.
Celebrating our 100th anniversary has given us the gift of reflection, remembering the faith, sacrifice, and love that built this parish and continue to sustain it today. Our recent parish festival was a beautiful sign of that living legacy. These photos capture just a few of the many faces of those who generously gave their time, talents, and joyful spirit to make it such a success.
What makes Lourdes what it is has never been buildings or events alone, it has always been people who love Christ, serve one another, and say “yes” when help is needed. In so many ways this year has reminded us that we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, and we are entrusted with passing on that same faith to those who will come after.
As we celebrate Christmas, we remember that God chose to come to us not with grandeur, but through humble hearts willing to receive Him. Thank you for being those hearts, for welcoming Christ into our parish through your service, generosity, and love.
May the joy and peace of the newborn Jesus fill your homes and your hearts this Christmas season. Know of my deep gratitude for each of you, and my prayers for a blessed and holy Christmas.
