What would it look like if going to church wasn’t about what you want or what “the people” want to experience but it was all about what Jesus wants? What does He want to experience? Maybe there would be less excuses, less hopping around, less unmet expectations. Perhaps we would see beyond ourselves and truly worship a God who is worthy of all the time, attention and consideration we give ourselves instead. Oh to be that church.. that is truly success.

True ministry success can only be measured in surrender. Too much time, energy and resources are spent chasing things Jesus never asked us to do. The only way to know the Father’s Heart is through surrender.
