A Community of Faith in Victoria, TX
People of HOPE
Healing, Opportunity, Purpose, Engaging
Servant Projects - as often as we can
Learning Hour - 4:30 pm on Sundays
Worship Hour - 5:30 pm on Sundays
We don't own a building or a steeple-
We never will, our assets are people. An app on a cell phone is our church bell's ring-
A borrowed keyboard - we sing. Leaning
, worship and serving is our thing! Our Mission and Ministry is to be an:
"All are Welcome Here" Community of Faith
We belong to the ELCA
(Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)
We are a Non-Traditional SAWC
(Synodically Authorized Worshiping Community)
We don't own a building and never will as we hope to be unencumbered by a building or traditional Church Structure. The only things we own are a homemade Lectern, Cross and Communion set. We are served by local Pastors, Rostered Leaders, and Lay members of primarily the ELCA but also Presbyterian, and Methodist as well who are ecumenical partners of the ELCA. We are not about politics - instead faithfully serving Christ, our neighbors near and far, as we are able. We offer the only Lutheran Sunday Evening Worship opportunity in our area. As we meet on Sundays at 5:30 pm
We also offer a Learning or Study hour starting at 4:30pm. We have met in a church chapel, a hospital chapel, homes, and
currently we are meeting in the building behind Grace Funeral Home,
4501 N Houston Hwy
Victoria, Texas USA
Please come and join us at any time. You can belong to a home church and also be partnered with us at the same time or a member of People of Hope. If you wish, only an occasional visitor is OK too. Currently 20% of all our income goes to the ELCA through the Southwestern Synod. We pay rent, honorariums to those who preach and preside at Worships, our accompanist, and the rest goes to serve others. COME AND SEE!!!
