Good Morning everyone, I made an error yesterday, we will NOT be having a joint service on April 16th, We will do a straw poll at both churches at each service. Thank you Kate for helping me orgainize this straw poll.

Good evening everyone! I forgot to post this earlier this week and after meeting with the congregation present this past Sunday, we decided to take a straw poll on the church disaffiliating on April 16. Let me be very clear this is NOT a vote to disaffiliate from the UMC, this is a straw poll to see if there is at least 60 percent of the people attending wanting to disaffliate. If 60 percent of those attending wish to have an official vote, I will contact the DS. please tell as many people from victor and ladora churches to attend a combined service at Victor at 930 am and after the service we will poll the congregation. Thanks for participating.

I am going to post some devotionals on our page to help engage people. Sometimes it will be Upper Room devotionals and occassionally my own thoughts. Hope you enjoy them!

A heavy rain began to fall while I was on my way to work. I took cover and watched the other people moving hurriedly down the street, trying unsuccessfully to keep dry. While I waited, I thought about how we are often like those people rushing through the rain. Impatient and desiring quick s...

Good Morning Saints!

We made some announcements at church last week and I wanted to make sure that they were announced to everyone.

First is that we will be having Ash Wednesday servieces on February 22 at 7 pm. It will be a short service with imposition of ashes on the forehead.

Secondly, I will move the weekly bible study from Landmark Cafe at 8 am to Victor Church at 9 am. I promise to make sure there is coffee available. This will begin on February 24 and will be a lenten bible/book study. I am leaning towards a book study because it goes with the sermon series we are having for the Lent/Easter Service.

Lastly, We will be having a joint service in Victor UMC at 930 to discuss what is happening withing the UMC churches at conference, state and local levels. I will have an informational hand out for people to read. There has been some questions raised by a few individuals and I would like to address them to the best of my ability. I will also discuss a couple of options of what I feel the UMC should focus on to unite us under a more positive banner.

Looking forward to this coming season of reflection with you all!

Blessings to all!

Pastor Stu

Good Evening Saints! I wanted to let you know of a couple of things I announced in Victor and Ladora churches today.

One, we will be having a joint service at Victor UMC at 930 am on January 29th. We will have a hymnsing with a few scriptures and a devotion and then go downstairs to enjoy some Casey's breakfast pizza.

Second, I will be starting a bible study at the Landmark cafe. I will be there at 8 am and hope to continue meeting for a while. If Saturday mornings work better at 8 am, we can try then. I would love to see people there!

Thank you!

Good afternoon saints!
I am so sorry for not posting earlier about my recovery. I thought I had lost my passwords and login information when I had to scrub my computer for my job. Luckily, I was able to retrieve the information today.
I had surgery October 12th and was home later that afternoon. I used a walker for a few days, and then the cane. As of today, I am walking short distances without the cane which is amazing.
Thank yo so much for your prayers and cards, they have been wonderful to receive. I look forward to seeing you all on the 30th!

Good afternoon all! Hope everyone has been staying cool the last week. I have been recovering well, very little pain, and even at its worst its only been a four or five on a scale of one to ten. I have a comfy lift chair that helps me out and family around me helping me when I need. Thanks again for all your prayers!!
