Hawkins UMC Hawkins United Methodist Church is a very active, community oriented, service driven church. Worship Service each Sunday morning at 10:30 am in the sanctuary.

Sunday School each Sunday morning at 9:15 am in various Sunday school rooms.

On June 10, 1951, a “Service of Organization” for Hawkins Street Methodist Church was conducted by Rev. Prewitt and Dr. Tyson, along with Rev. Bill Carroll. The congregation was officially organized as the Hawkins Street Methodist Church with 24 full members and 11 preparatory members. Three baptisms were recorded that day: an infant, James Polk Stafford III; a teenager, Billie Lou Adams, and Mr. William
M. Hawkins.
