Helping Vicksburg families make Christmas morning magical

The holidays should be filled with joy, excitement, and unforgettable memories. But we know that sometimes life gets busy, money gets tight, or assembling Christmas gifts just isn’t possible. This year, Thornes Collision Center wants every child in our community to wake up to the Christmas morning they’ve been dreaming of.

So this season, we are proudly stepping in as Santa’s little elves for Vicksburg.
If your child’s gift needs to be built — bikes, dollhouses, basketball goals, play kitchens, or anything else — we will assemble it completely free.

No stress. No worry. Just kindness, community, and Christmas magic.

If it needs to be built at our shop, bring it by and we’ll take care of it.
If it needs to be delivered afterward, we will make it happen.
If you’re unable to pick it up for any reason, we’ll make sure the surprise still happens on time.

Because Christmas isn’t about the price of a gift.
It’s about the smiles, the excitement, and the sparkle in a child’s eyes.

For those of you who are involved in something as a ministry that may not be perceived as a typical ministry: Do you ever wonder if what you are doing is making any difference? Does it seem that the very ones who you seem to work the hardest to impact are the ones who disappoint you most?
How do you push through and carry on in that kind of disappointment when continuing is such a great sacrifice for you?

This is one of the things I talked in great detail about with our young pastors when I was leading the pastor retreat’s.

Heard this statement the other day and thought it was worthy of sharing:
Just because you can resist the devil, doesn’t mean that you should hang out with him. If you don’t want temptation to follow you, don’t act like you are interested in it. It’s much easier to avoid temptation than it is to resist it!!!
