We should think about each other to see how we can encourage each other to show love and do good works.
We must not quit meeting together, as some are doing. No, we need to keep on encouraging each other. This becomes more and more important as you see the Day getting closer.
- Hebrews 10:24-25

It's kind of hard to encourage each other if you don't meet on a regular basis. We've all experienced this firsthand.
It all starts out really well, before we know it, we start drifting apart from those we considered essential in our lives, in our walk with the Lord. Those who we knew as "family", become acquaintances at best.
We need to gather folks, so we can encourage each other in our faith. Scripture also says, "A cord of three is not easily broken!"
We need each other, whether we want to admit that or not!
I pray you stop listening to the whispers from the enemy, telling you, that you don't need anyone, that you NEED to be alone, separated from others. Because that will set you up for a fall.
Jesus came to save us all, and he left the Holy Spirit to reside in us to show us we are not alone and that we don't have to go through this life separated from the flock. We have brothers and sisters in Christ to lean on.
I pray you know him!

And now, dear lady, I tell you: We should all love each other. This is not a new command. It is the same command we had from the beginning. And loving means living the way he commanded us to live. And God’s command is this: that you live a life of love. You heard this command from the beginning.
- 2 John 5-6

We can't declare our love for someone, even God, while showing, through our actions, something totally opposite to what we said.
If we say we love God and live a life that displays our discontent, our disgust, our intent to disobey, then our declaration means nothing. We are made out to be liars.
As scripture says, this isn't anything new folks!
We are to love one another, which in turn, means we care about each other and what happens to them.
If we love each other, we will introduce them to Jesus and what He did to repair our relationship with God!

“I give you a new command: Love each other. You must love each other just as I loved you. All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other.”
- John 13:34-35

It's easy to love someone close to you, family and friends, but what about those that seem to be doing their level best to be your enemy? Jesus said to love them too!
When the world encourages you to write those people off, to hate them, Jesus tells us we need to love and pray for them.

So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him—an offering that is only for God and pleasing to him. Considering what he has done, it is only right that you should worship him in this way.
- Romans 12:1

Have you ever thought about what it truly means to follow Christ? What the cost truly is?
Do we say we are a Christian and still conform to the ways of this world, instead of going all in on the will of God?
There comes a time, when we all need to make that decision to align ourselves with God's will, His desire for our lives, and sacrifice that old life, for one raised in Christ Jesus!
Honestly, we tend to look to do the bare minumum, just like the rich young ruler, who said he has faithfully obeyed all the laws, but didn't want to give up his fortune, his comfortable way of life, giving it to the poor and following Jesus with EVERYTHING he had.
Search yourself, and you know this to be true for alot of us!
I pray you have submitted to the Lord, all of it, every part of your being, and made Jesus the Lord of your life!
We are a new creation, we belong to the King of Kings, we serve at his pleasure now!

Before God and Jesus Christ, I give you a command. Christ Jesus is the one who will judge all people—those who are living and those who have died. He is coming again to rule in his kingdom.
So I give you this command: Tell everyone God’s message. Be ready at all times to do whatever is needed. Tell people what they need to do, tell them when they are doing wrong, and encourage them. Do this with great patience and careful teaching.
- 2 Timothy 4:1-2

Jesus IS coming back folks, so we all need to live as if He is coming today.
In everything we do, we need to do it for the Lord. Our goal is to point as many people to Christ Jesus as we can. Not because it gives us bonus points, no, because we want everyone to experience Jesus the same way we do, on a personal level.
Remember that when we call out sinful behavior, that we have been guilty of sin as well, so do it in love, leading them to the One who can forgive those sins. It isn't our job to smack each others hands, but it is our job to care for each other and want the best for them in Christ.

And since you do the same things as those people you judge, surely you understand that God will punish you too. How could you think you would be able to escape his judgment?
God has been kind to you. He has been very patient, waiting for you to change. But you think nothing of his kindness. Maybe you don’t understand that God is kind to you so that you will decide to change your lives.
- Romans 2:3-4

It is because of what Jesus did on that cross, I choose to do what is right. It is because of the mercy and grace offered to me, that I decided to change the direction I was headed and followed Christ.
I was blessed to have a wonderful woman come into my life and course correct me, by being a woman of God, seeking Him, walking with Him. This was a blessing sent by God!
I'm sure many remember the man I used to be, thankfully, I am not that man anymore. He is buried, gone, now I live for Christ. Have I reached the goal of being like Christ, not yet, but with Christ in me, I can make progress everyday, I see progress daily.
It isn't because of my doing, don't get me wrong, it is because of the grace and mercy of God, through His Son!
I pray you know Him and what that means. I pray you know Him so much, that you choose to change your life and live it for the glory of God, not self.

Everyone must die once. Then they are judged. So Christ was offered as a sacrifice one time to take away the sins of many people.
And he will come a second time, but not to offer himself for sin. He will come the second time to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
- Hebrews 9:27-28

We can go before the throne of God, knowing that he sees his Son Jesus, who offered up Himself as a living sacrifice, to cover our sins, to wash them away and make them gone from the record.
This is wonderful news! We CAN be restored, made clean by what God did through Jesus on that cross. When, "Jesus comes the second time, it will be to bring salvation to those who wait for him."
Are you eagerly awaiting His return? Are you going about the master's business?
Jesus is coming back folks! We you be ready?

Every day the priests stand and do their religious service. Again and again they offer the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But Christ offered only one sacrifice for sins, and that sacrifice is good for all time. Then he sat down at the right side of God. And now Christ waits there for his enemies to be put under his power. With one sacrifice Christ made his people perfect forever. They are the ones who are being made holy.
- Hebrews 10:11-14

Jesus did what the law never could do, he took away our sins and made us whole again in the eyes of God!
The sacrifice He made was good for all time and didn't have to be made over and over, because, this was what Jesus was sent to do from the beginning.
I pray you know Him and His Word!

These things are copies of the real things that are in heaven. These copies had to be made clean by animal sacrifices. But the real things in heaven must have much better sacrifices.
Christ went into the Most Holy Place. But it was not the man-made one, which is only a copy of the real one. He went into heaven, and he is there now before God to help us.
- Hebrews 9:23-24

I pray you read the Bible. I pray you read all of Hebrews, so you can get a sense of what God was accomplishing through Jesus, His Son.
The things that God had told the Israelites to do, the temple, the sacrifices, they were only a foretelling of what was to come with Jesus.
When you read the Old Testament, which records the lineage the traces all the way to Jesus being born, as well as the chosen nation He would be born out of, we see how God tried to gather His people to Him and they would scatter, time and time again, like sheep that got scared by a thunder clap, instead of leaning into their shepherd.
Hebrews fills in some of the gaps, giving us insight on the plan God has for us.
Scripture does that, it explains itself, if you would only read and listen.
I encourage you to pick up your Bible, or go get one, and read it, learn of the wisdom found in those words and apply them to your life, then go and share with the world.
