Labor Day isn't just a holiday. It's a reminder of God's design for work, purpose, and rest.

From the very beginning, God created us to cultivate, create, and steward what He's placed in our hands. Our work is not simply a paycheck. It can become an act of worship when it's done with excellence and for His glory.

At the same time, God also designed us to rest. Rest isn't laziness. It's an act of trust that reminds us He is our provider, not our striving.

As you enjoy this Labor Day, thank God for the opportunity to work, embrace the gift of rest, and remember that the greatest investment you can make is one that has eternal value.

"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." Colossians 3:23 NKJV

Sunday at Oceans Unite 🌊

Yesterday we celebrated raising an additional $1 MILLION toward our new church home! We are incredibly grateful for every person who has prayed, given, and chosen to be part of what God is building here.

Pastor Alex also continued our series, The Unseen Realm, with a powerful message about the authority of Jesus. Whether people recognized who He was or not, the unseen realm did. They knew His authority, and they obeyed His command.

Jesus has always been King.

There is so much happening in our church right now, and we are grateful to see the vision God has given us continue to move forward. Thank you, Jesus, for what You are doing and for what is still ahead.

Far Above | Pastor Alex Pappas

Pastor Alex continues in his series, The Unseen Realm. What happens when we truly understand where Jesus is seated?

He is far above!

There is one throne in the unseen realm, and there is only One who sits upon it. God is not competing with Satan for authority. Satan is not God's equal. Principalities, powers, kingdoms, and every spiritual force were created by Him and for Him.

He is the supreme authority.

When Jesus walked the earth, the natural world often failed to recognize who He was—but the unseen realm knew exactly who stood before them. Demons recognized Him. They knew His authority. They knew His identity. And when He spoke, there was no negotiation.

Jesus came, died, rose again, and was seated far above every principality, power, throne, and authority.
And here's the part we cannot miss: We are seated with Him.

Know who your King is. Know where He is seated. And know where you are seated in Christ.

He is far above. And because we are in Him, we don't have to live beneath what Jesus has already conquered.

We are called to set our minds on the heavenly places. God has plans and purposes He wants to reveal to us, but so often, what gets in the way is what we can see, what we can understand, and what makes sense in the natural.

Scripture calls us to look beyond the natural realm and fix our eyes on God’s throne and His Kingdom.

The unseen realm is vast, and there is so much we don’t understand. But as we are led by the Holy Spirit and grounded in the Word of God, we can begin to understand more of the spiritual realities Scripture reveals to us.

For years, Oceans Unite has carried a vision to establish a permanent home where people can encounter the Presence of God, families can be strengthened, disciples can be raised, and generations can be reached. Today, that vision is becoming reality.

Yesterday, Pastor Alex unveiled the vision for our new church home, and what God has ahead of us is BIG!

Our vision reaches far beyond Sunday mornings. We see a place built for the presence of God, where families can gather, our community can connect, and people can encounter Jesus.

This is more than a building. It’s a place we believe will serve our community and impact lives for generations to come.

The vision is big, and it will take all of us to build it together.

Vision Sunday | Pastor Alex Pappas

For years, we have prayed, grown, and believed God for a permanent home for Oceans Unite. On Vision Sunday 2026, Pastor Alex shared the vision for our future church.

This vision is about much more than a place to gather for church on Sundays. It’s about building a home centered on the presence of God that can serve people throughout the entire week.

In this message, Pastor Alex walks through the vision for the property, including spaces designed for worship, children and families, fellowship, health and wellness, seniors, outreach, dining, recreation, and more. Every part of the vision has been considered with the same purpose: to honor God with excellence while creating a place that genuinely serves our church and the surrounding community.

You’ll also hear the biblical foundation behind the vision, why we believe excellence matters to God, and how something of this magnitude will require each of us to prayerfully consider what God has placed in our hands.

We believe this property can become a place where people who may never initially come for a church service find themselves welcomed through the doors, connected to community, and ultimately introduced to Jesus.

Vision Sunday is an invitation to see what could be possible when we build with purpose, steward what God has given us, and come together around a vision bigger than any one of us.

Church Family, Vision Sunday is tomorrow!

The vision of Oceans Unite has always been big. From the moment God called Pastor Alex to plant a church, he saw a tent.

Despite opposition, challenges, and discouragement, that vision is soon becoming a reality.

But one man cannot build it alone.

Just as Nehemiah couldn't rebuild the wall alone, the future home of Oceans Unite cannot be built by one person.

We must build together.

Every prayer. Every sacrifice. Every act of obedience. Every seed sown. Every person has a part to play.

Tomorrow, we’ll gather as one church family to look ahead at what God is building through Oceans Unite, and believe together for what’s next.

This is more than a building. It’s about building a place for the presence of God.

Come ready to hear the vision. Come ready to believe. Come ready to build.
